You're right, it should go both ways and it is a double standard, not gonna argue there. But for me personall, I just find it weird, myabe because my brother had no limitations on what he could wear (shorts, short sleeves, tank tops whatever) but of course I had to change my clotehs before i even left my room. There's no problem anymore in the house since its just me and my mom. But when i have kids i will try to raise them both to be equally modest. It is unfair to have grlz covered up and let the son walk around half-naked in the summertime...
Lol i dont understand why everyone is acting as if they are dirty people...its not like they are naked or anything and its not like they are getting changed in front of random people...its a girl changing in front of her brothers...they are blood for god sake...lol i wonder what you lot did when you had swimming...did you put your trousers on over your trunks or something...getting changed isnt a sexual thing you know so dunno why everyone is so appalled for...
NBN - I know what you mean, one would hope that bros wouldn't look at their sisters in a sexual way so it shouldn't matter if they get changed in front of each other or not...
Maybe I'm a prude...but I think that once puberty is reached and certain bits start changing and growing etc. a certain degree of modesty needs to be observed in a household.
Particularly in younger ones, where at puberty curiosity is rife along with hormones, I think it may be unhealthy to allow them to be exposed in each others' presence like that. They need to start to learn that they must keep certain things private.
Unfortunately parents can't be present at school and see what is happening there in terms of dressing and undressing, so teaching modesty in oneself needs to begin at home...just my opinion
OH FOR GODS SAKE.........can someone knock sum sense in to these stupid ppl bro or no bro im ashamed to change infront of my hubby n bro is like even horiific what sort of paedophilian family is this??
we have to make sure that we do not adapt such things.
libas insan keye badan kee zeenut heye.
i find it hard to believe that they do not have their own bedrooms or bath rooms in which to change.
uote=phoenix51]Okay, I have a question...
Someone I know finds nothing wrong with getting changed in front of her brothers...!
In fact the entire family is this way. They aren't Muslims, they're West Indian Christians...and they will happily change their clothes in front of each other. I find it really odd.
In my household, once you're past a certain age it is totally unacceptable to be in any state of undress in the presence of brothers, cousins, father etc.
What are people's views on this...? Does anyone else know people who do this...?

absolutely absurd and ridiculous!!! Astaghfirullah....let alone brothers, it find it shamefull to even undress infront of another girl.
I also know a family who is somewhat the same....we were at their house, and we all getting ready to go to a wedding..and the auntie, her daughters, auntie's sisters, bhabi's AND auntie's mother are changing clothes infront of eachother...they asked me to do the same..ke tum bhi ker lo sari aurtein hi to hein..but i was like NO WAY!! so anyways...i immediately walked out of the room, shocked and mad!
I tell you, people have no shame these days..
i have a couple muslim friends (females) who dont mind changing in front of each other. I dont do it…they think im weird!!! I dont even change in front of my mom and sisters…no way im gonna change in front of friends.
Undressing infront of same sex ppl including my very own sisters and mom is odd to me…i dont get how this girl can change in front of her bros!!
