I was going to post this under the face lightening thread but opted to make it its own thread. But I need help girls. I naturally have a pretty good complexion but my ONE SHORT visit to Florida during the summer gave me this crazy tan. I wore my spf 95 sunblock religiously and STILL… i got tan.
Any advice on how to make this tan fade? Especially on my arms!!! My face is alright now but not the rest of me! I exfoliate like crazy but it does not seem to help. People are giving wonderful advice on how to brighten the complexion for face and stuff… but what about the rest of your body?
It is one of my biggest pet peeves when you see someone who has a lighter face but darker hands/arms. I scrutinize my pictures and get annoyed when I see that I have become one of those people. lol.
Are there any “miracle” creams, lotions, bodywashes out there that help lighten the bodies complexion/make it glow?
when I was in india the girl at the spa suggested something called protein pack to light the skin, or get rid of tan. But I guess you have to do it few times to see the results.
I asked her what that thing was she said:
dry milk powder 1/2 cup
honey 2 tablespoon
rose water 2 table spoon
aleo gel 2 tablespoon
lemon juice 2 table spoon
I tried it couple of times and it did help me, but I have olive/medium complexion, so you may notice more improvement than I do.
The above proportions are my own, you can play around with it to get the consistency of a mask. put on couple of layer and let it dry, don't speak ot move your neck, so that you don't pull your skin. wash in showerand motiroze.
hav u tried rubbing a lemon on? try lemon or Apple cider with youghurt. even tomatoes work for tans so does milk, basin, huldi uptans but for a quick cure lactic acid peels all the way.
My skin usually tans very lightly in the summer, but it disappears when the weather changes and we enter autumn. The only thing I can think of is to ensure you exfoliate the skin to remove any dead skin cells.
E2050 What i used for the tan on my face (and it really did go away!) was that I mixed some apricot scrub with lemon juice. I put mabey 2 tablespoons of lemon juice in my facewash bottle that was 3/4th full. Make sure you mix it all well. Then I used it every night before I went to sleep for about a month. The apricot scrub provided a good exfoliant and the lemon juice helped fade the tan as well.
Thanks for all of your suggestions girls!
Mabrook - so you can mix lemon juice with yoghurt and just rub that on the body? Do you have to leave it on for a certain period of time?
