ive been wondering lately, what’s the process that one has to follow if one intends to get something published? what are the steps and in what order do they come? do you have to have the complete manuscript before you start looking for a publisher or do you look for a publisher tell them what youre gonna write and they agree to publish and sponsor you. i think this happens with famous writers, how do the new ones join the league? any info guys?

I think just like getting venture money for business, you have to have good baseline for your script before you can talk to any publisher if you are a newbie (esp.). Good baseline could mean 70-90% completed text for a book or novel, depending upon publisher.
