Hi Aeysha, which pill have you been prescribed??
With regards to changing the date of your cycle to a specific date I'm not sure how that would work.
However if you are concerned about not having a bleed during your wedding and you are due to then depending on the pill you can take 2 month consecutively of some. i.e don't have the 7 day break and just continue taking the pill. A few of my friends did this for wedding and honeymoons or other major events etc.
Hope that is of some help!
p.s I had an awful expereince with Norethisterone I wouldn't recommend it.
Yes thats what I wanted to know! But wont the bloated feeling continue throughout!
I have been prescribed Logynon....Would be begining it by the end of first week of oct but im a little nervous now...Do you think i can begin normally in oct and november, and then for dec i can have one pack n then go on to the other pack without the break? I mentioned that to the gyne but she said that it wont be acting as a contraceptive then because ill still ovulate:s
You may not get any bloated feelings at all- When I started the pill I had no side effects at all no weight gain, bloatedness nothing.
You should take it in oct and even if you do get side effects then they should have subsided by nov/dec hopefully.
With regards to taking 2 months of logynon consecutively I can't see any problems with it (obviously it should never be done regularly, an dthis would be a one off). Its a normal combined oral contraceptive. You should not ovulate just cos you've taken 2 months- it will still work as a contraceptive. My own GP advised me to do so when I was on microgynon adn needed a to delay.
I know we have many docs and pharmacists here- what are your views guys?
@Saheli: Chalo im glad to know that, hope its the same with me too! I intend taking it properly for Oct and Nov to see how it goes (and my dates dont get messedup) and then will probably delay them for dec till after my shadi/valima- cuz i had my periods at the time of my Nikah and it was such a hassle, being decked up and sitting for so long!
Id really appreciate if a doc/pharmacist could give their views! Thanks! :)
Ok girls, I got the pill today, but since Logynon was not available (out of stock) I had the choice between Diane 35 and Yasmin as according to the pharmacist they have the same dosage/strength. I ended up getting Yasmin, because I had read good reviews. Any personal experiences?
I'll be begining in 4-5 days: to change the date of my cycle so im not on my period during the wedding/honeymoon week...
