I’m getting married two months from now inn shaa Allah! Will be having my nikah ceremony and then valima, so it’s just two special dresses that need to be taken care of.
For the nikah, we had bought this gorgeous navy blue and red full length dress which I really like but my betrothed gave it a thumbs down! He wants me to look “amazing” and by that I understand to be something really fancy [which is not really my style] and probably desi and I’m so not into traditional bridal wear! Hardly ever worn a gharara/sharara in my life! I always thought I’d wear a Zuhayr Murad style gown faints but oh well lol
In any case, I would really appreciate input on what’s currently on trend, I’m really leaning towards pishvas and I think I can get away with it for my nikah as it’ll be a small affair but ideas and suggestions please!
