Hope you guys can help me out. So I have some family going very soon to Lahore and will be bringing some outfits back. There isn’t much time to get things stitched from darzis, so its mostly the boutiques. Usually get outfits from Fortress and Liberty because its easy but want to find out specific stores you guys like.
I’ve been checking out some of the other threads on whats in style these days and I’ve seen some nice styles with jamavar, chooridar/pajama, and the high neck style for kameezes. Help me out with some pics of colors/fabrics/styles that are in and names of stores in Lahore please!
I found the best place for high quality ready-made outfits in Lahore was Bareeze, Think Pink and Zardozi in Liberty Market, Lahore. I came back last week and bought almost all of my clothes from these boutiques. My sister also stocked up on clothes from these shops for her wedding trousseau. We also bought some casual outfits from Cynosure.
I think what you're family will find though is that they're spoilt for choice- Lahore is THE place to shop! Lovely clothes everywhere!
If you want clothes for wedding or formal party wear than i would advice you to get them to visit the PFDC Mall @ Gulberg 2. Nowadays they are also exhibiting maria b's latest lawn collection :).
Yup, Cynosure's also in Liberty MArket- next to some Jewellers (sorry, can't remember the name!). It's not hard to buy clothes from Liberty- seriously- there's shops all over the place selling good stuff and if you know what you want then it's heaven!
Nee punhal,Collection,Sabrina r the best places to shop from Fortress,Lahore.
for unstitched stuff, obviously Orega and some back shops in Liberty esp in dupatta galli...
also for bridal stuff no one but only the two shops in Anarkali ..they r the best for bridal wear...i have forgotten their names:-/ and really very very economical.
also this Zardozi and Ali Zari and another in that row i forgot the name selling the bridal stufff....their all work is done in Ichra and anarkali and then they sale at much higher price in liberty...this is confirmed..
if u want to have some work on any unstitched stuff then mini or main market....the one near shezan..is the best option...
maria silik in banoo bazar dat is covered area is also gud shop,,i bought my lehnga frm there.MARIA silk is in the cover area but honestly im nt sure that is in banoo market or some other,,,anyway u can find easily by asking this name to other shops.
well the names i just asked...its Chammun Sari House and the other Bano Sari House..mainay apni kafi indian saris ki fall and all that stuff in dono say kraya tha and they both r very very economical and really they know how to stitch...Chammun k naam say ek aur b shop hai wahin Main pur WO wali NAHI..wo copy hai Chammun ki..original woi hai jo Bano k samnay hai ok?
in k pas dono k pas hur turhan ki variety hai aur Fortress wala Collection b buhut acha hai jo btaya hai apko...i have been buying stuff from there when i was in Class 6..so this is all about:)
I hope this isn't offtopic... but i want some semi-casual, not so heavy and fancy outfits.. ready made and kinda trendy, like the capri pajama/sleeveless kameez types. My mom is not a big shopper, so what are some places i can direct her to? Keep in mind, these places gotta have like REAL sizes, (like uk now... LARGE :@: ) not just pathetically small "one size fits all."
Sara, try Maria B's boutique and Karma Pink. They have a lot of semi-casual, semi-dressy things readymade, and they can even alter them for you if needed. Also, they have a range of prices as well, so you can find something not to extravagantly priced from the designers. (I got some good things from Maria B. in the past). If you have a good tailor, maybe your mom can go buy fabric from Liberty or Auriga or whatever the latest "in" place is for cloth and get them sewn. A beautiful fabric with no kaam looks as lovely as something with kaam on it. Good luck!
