After working for afew years and graduating I feel Im building myself into a rut. I go out occassionally and have lunch from time to time with some mates but that’s all I do.
I think Im really getting bored with my life.. I dont know what I can do to .. I wanna travel but by myself seems a little boring, city trips like manchester, birmingham seem to much of a hassle to organise etc, also work is on the low which could mean lay offs so I dont want to waste too much money.., im thinking of going to study but I dont see the need for it.. as it will cause more debt to build up,
Ps… dont say get married or get a girlfriend.. im just trying to think of things to do or make life interesting.. after all its a good idea to make the most out of your twenties!
Plan world domination , I have opened a thread in cafe to get some ideas as to how to do it.
I am in a rut too so , world domination planning seems a very engaging activity and can keep you busy and occupied for a long time to come.
Yeh I havnt been in ages I was trying to find out fares today.. no official plans made yet. but there are some wedding and its going to be Eid so might get my mind off all the crap in the U dot K! lol
Yeh I think it might be a good way to just see everyone - even though with all the crap going on out there too. Another thing Ive got to get started on his my photography.. I havnt taken photographs in ages.. I need to start doing tht too.
mclovin- what do you do in your free time now, vs what you did in uni?
pick up some groups and sports etc, sunday league, some local team, etc
join some group workign towards some issue you find interesting
or just local singles groups who are always planning one activity or another.
do you need to be in a different location? i.e. be closer to city center than farther away, because then there is a lot more going on around you, you can do more things spur of the moment.
I recall when i was single and living in the city, half the time I would not know what my plans were after hours, randomly stop at some event i heard about or someone calls to meet up for drinks (err coffee) after work, last minute tix to some sports event..or i would get home and then have some friends calling to say hey meet up at such and such place, 30 minutes. it would have been tougher if i was an hour away from downtown etc. even in burbs, less going on but its doable
as long as you have friends closeby, and the place you are at is not dead, u are okay, just have to try

At the moment, not much really I dont really have a routine on doing things.. During the day everyone is at work and is only free from 6pm onwards.. and for a couple of hours.. Some of the go to the gym, some go for drinks (@ bars etc.. which isnt my scene!), work collegues are kinda lot more senior than me.. so its like they go home to the family as their working mums/grandparents etc.
My local community centre doesnt really seem to have much on I kinda live on the outskirts of the city where transport links are kinda far and as im not driving getting back can be an issue and taxi arent cheap! lol Im thinking of find a place to move out to a place closer to the city or the high street/train station etc.
I want to develop my photography skills but walking around alone and taking pictures is kinda weird.. maybe as I havnt dont it alone I find it abit awkard..?
i know how you feel and i’m finally taking my mom’s advice and planning to visit friends that have moved away. I have a group for each trip I have planned and can’t wait to see these people again. I’m also going to visit more of my relatives and such…you should take a break. before you know it you will be married and maybe even have kids and won’t have the open schedule to do these things.
Sound advice! Issue is my folks are a little hesitant of me staying out with friends.. they’re a little conservative about things like this. But I think I should plan to visit many of the friends I havnt seen in ages! ROAD TRIP is in order!
