Getting Birth Certificate from another city

I hope I am posting in the most relevant forum but sorry if I am not.
I was born in Rawalpindi and now residing in Multan for past 3 years. I need to get my birth certificate (the new computerized NADRA one) but it is not possible for me or anyone else to go to Pindi now (my family has shifted to Multan). So can I get my BC from another city even though I was not born there? I have the Pindi cantonment board’s issued birth acknowledgement slip.

Thanks.

Re: Getting Birth Certificate from another city

Not really I would have thought to get the Certificate you would lamost certainly have to go to the city.

You can apply for a transfer of documents though surely? Maybe a civil sysetm might be in place for such transfers between hospitals and offices but I dont know for sure this is a first in my experience. Oh well grant yourself lucky at least you have a real Birth Certificate. :omg:

Peace

I thought everything is computerised now:

Why don’t you phone them up?

In order to get a CNIC card you will need:

A CNIC applicant is required to produce the following documents at the time of application:

  • Birth Certificate or
  • Old NIC or
  • Matriculation Certificate or
  • CNICs of immediate/blood relatives
  • Citizenship certificate issued by MOI

You don’t need to go to birth city if you do not live in PATA or FATA areas - any city should be okay according to the information given.
