its better to shave but trimming is definitely an option....
and there wud be nothing wrong with your hajj if you only trimmed the hair....
but do not that taking just one lock of hair and cutting of a bit of hair is NOT ALLOWED....
u have to trim all the hair equally no matter what length u trim them....
