Getting along with Periods ;-)

Hi,

There is nothing to embarrass about having period; and you can still engage yourself in many activities. Women who think positively can learn to handle their stress, keeping the frustration at bay during their menstrual cycle. With good knowledge and care women can learn how to best care of their bodies without being fallen into stress and spend their life suffering.
Always keep a tampon or pad in your bag or purse, even if time of your period not near, you must have one; just in case. Panty-liners are the most commodious because they are small, easy to carry and should hold the flow until you lay your hands on a pad.
Use a menstrual cup as they are like internal-tampons, but are safer and more hygienic.
They can also be worn for up to 12 hours, so that you can avoid being caught without safety-measures or messing up with your undergarments. You can use them for overnight - during light to heavy flow - and during sports, including swimming. These softcups also help you lessen cramps. Cups are relatively cheaper in price and are also eco-friendly.
Avoid stress, because it will intensify problems. Light exercise is the best remedy against stress. Include potassium such as bananas in your nutrition.
However different things work for different people. Ibuprofen is usually just as good for most of the women and can be obtained over-the-counter. Cell salts are good remedy too, when you get cramps take them every 5-10 times until the pain stops.
Keep track
Try to keep record of your period, – its duration, its start and end time etc. If the period prolongs more than 10 days, then you must see a gynecologist. Keeping record would not only forestalls you when your menstrual period is due but will help you to cognise that you are fertile and also if there are any signs of complications.
Rest and Eat
If you are a working woman, then the simple way to reduce stress is to take a day off, and relieve all that stress, take plenty of rest. Try to eat healthy diet, because that will keep your body in balance, but don’t change your diet too frequently as it may create any sort of trouble for you.
Mind your Mood
Try and learn how to manage your mood. If you are that kind of a person whose mood swings quite often then inform your doctor about that as you may need some assistance with this imbalance. During the period most women do lose control. Warn people that you are nearing the cycle, so that they can pull their socks up.
Be positive
There are always such sort of people around who would tell you that periods are bad, so don’t let them prevail over you and don’t let their issues affect on how you feel. Most television ads also depict that periods are a kind of embarrassing, such negativity can make girls feel bad about the periods, and in return they think that there is nothing they can do, and this is inevitable. Whereas the fact is that the more you are aware about your periods, the more it will be easy for you, to cope with it.
Choose color wisely
If you have to go to gym in school and you have to change, choose red, black or brown undies. People will be less likely to take notice that you are having your period. Also try to wear pads without wings before going to gym that would make harder for other girls to convince that you are having your periods. Try to change your pants wearing a long T-shirt.
If you are hurt, don’t freak
If you are hit in the stomach, then don’t freak out, yes indeed there will be pain. Your female part will feel like it is tumefied, because it needs more room for the egg. If it really paining then you can take mild pain-killer tablet. It would be better if you tell someone, so that they can guide you what to do.
Last Words
Don’t ever feel embarrassed about having periods, it is natural process and normal and it means that you are a healthy person.
Tips:

  • For those having heavy flow, they can use boxers, to give them complete safety.
  • There are dozens of different products and methods so don’t get stuck using the same things, so know your options and try them.
  • Go for darker color cloths during the period, because it would be noticeable if there is a leak.
  • Take shower regularly during the period.
  • Drinking milk is a great help in lessening cramps. It helps restoring vitamins you might have lost.
