Microsoft just got that domain name and is giving out the free address. They have also totally redesigned the Live.com front end. Get yours before someone else does :slight_smile:

Will never go for MS email addresses. I have one hotmail account and what bothers me the most is that though I am at hotmail page, I still have to type my full email as username ([email protected], instead of just $$$$$). They need to fix that. This is 2012, not 1995.

they need to add drop down before user id so sust people like you pick domain name. :hehe:

^^ That's because they give u two options to choose from, live or hotmail. They just wanna be sure where u wanna goeth. LOL.

Not necessarily. It does save your email ids in the text box and you can just press the downward arrow on the keyboard and then choose from the list that drops down.

But I guess that happens if you check the 'keep me signed in' check box. =/

Saving is not going to cut it. if I am going form new computer, or even new browser, I need to type full address.

and niks, they can always have separate pages for live and hotmail accounts. They wanted it to be convenient for them. They should've made it convenient for the users.

Yeah that is an issue. But I just got my new and first ever email id that accepted the first option I gave and I like that!!

Come on director saab come into the era of choices. Here are a few items for you to consider:
-If you have account on gmail which doesn't end with "gmail.com" you have to type in the full email address too.
-Most of the corporate accounts with Outlook Web Access require full email addresses to login
-If you get your domain hosted with a CPanel vendor to login to your email you need the full email address

I can give you lost of other examples too. But if these don't do it then those others won't either :)

typing in "[email protected]" is not going to take much longer than just typing "tofi"

I have my paklinks account which is a gmail account, but for that I go to paklinks page and just type my username, not the whole email address.

i think, Microsoft purposely created this outlook.com domain to advertise out look solution and therefore live.come is not showing any drop down.

my username is 10 characters long, adding @hotmail.com adds another 12 characters. Huge diff for me.

That's cuz u have an Air. The keyboard is smooooooth. TLK has a huge magnifico DELL. It hurts to do extra thuk thuks.

i have one email address that just begins with “t@” :slight_smile:
