New airport scanners that will make u nude…isnt this invasion of privacy…arent metal detectors good enough to detect pistols, & knives, that they have to undress us now…!

There were some pictures of this technology a while back. Needless to say it pretty much shows you nude, in grey and black (like an xray)

They say that the person who is doing the scan will not be able to see the person being scanned (except on the monitor screen). Plus, they will have separate male and female scanners. Etc etc.
However, the key question is what are the kinds of harmful stuff that are missed by previous regular security checkpoint technologies, that will now be caught by this new technology. My assumption is that the previous technology focussed only on metal objects, and with new plastic explosives and non-metal hand-guns, a more comprehensive x-ray kinda technology will emerge, anyway.
Faisal - its going to be lot more harmful for da frequent flyer, coz even though it “sounds” low radiation, it doesnt seem to be da case. Its like an Xray machine, where we have to annually get a medical checkup & stand in front of a gun & da doctor say “OK, kameez utaro”, Im pretty sure, every1 has been in front of an Xray machine, & I dunno bout da rest of u guys, but I’ve felt this tingling sensation throughout my chest…feels kinda heavy, 
or probably Im imagining da particles being bombarded on me…
