KHAR: Thousands of tribal protestors here on Tuesday welcomed a call for suicide attacks on coalition forces in Afghanistan, as anger against a madrassa airstrike on Monday swept through Bajaur Agency and North West Frontier Province, eyewitnesses said.

Around 15,000 people at a protest demonstration in the Khar area of Bajaur Agency also vowed to “avenge” the killing of “innocent people”.

“Are you ready to join suicide missions?” local cleric Maulana Inayatur Rehman asked the protestors, who said “yes”.

The cleric vowed to uphold the “supremacy of Islam”. “We will carry out even suicide attacks for jihad.”

Rehman said he had prepared a “squad of suicide bombers” to target Pakistani security forces in the same way that militants were attacking Americans in Afghanistan and Iraq, AP reported.

Wanted pro-Taliban militant commander Maulana Faqir Muhammad said President Musharraf was an “American agent, killing innocent people at the US behest”.

He dismissed government claims that foreign and local militants were present in the madrassa at the time of the airstrike. He said that he was ready to work with a tribal jirga for peace, but vowed not to renounce jihad. He announced that “American agents will be hanged publicly”.

**“Elimination of Musharraf is a must to restore peace,” he told protestors carrying guns and chanting “death to Musharraf, **death to Bush”.

Security forces stopped the protestors from marching on the Khar Bazaar, which remained shut.

Keep Islam aside and just think, if you kill somebody children with missiles what are you expecting from him, to welcome you.
It is not the matter of Islam, it is the matter of Ghairat, if you know such thing. Their children are killed by the Americans and now they have every right to take revenge.
God forbid if someone does it to your dear ones, what would be your reaction?

total BS. These suicide bombers will not go and attack the american army. They will blow themselves up in public killing innocent people. My point is that these people cannot justify blowing themselves in Public and killing innocent people in the name of Islam because Islam never preaches killing innocent people (muslims or non-muslims).
These idiots are giving open challenges sitting in your country on killing most probably in Pakistan and you are trying to justify it. They should be killed..
P.S. Don't talk about Ghairat. Is there ghairat is doing suicide bombing , killing innocent people and justifying it in the name of islam?

Please dont twist the topic, I never said anything about suicidal bombing,
I said if God forbid someone kill your dear one what would be your reaction, irrespective of the fact whether your dear one was right or wrong.
If at all this operation was carried out by Pakistan which I am sure they didnt, they should have planned a raid and apprehend the culprits if at all there were any, bombing on the madrassah and students, my God, how can you defend this indefensible.

I've been to these tribal areas .......
These folks r crazy........ The only problem i see is NO education .....period......the only form of education they get is religious education... there r schools but these people dont wanna send their kids to school..... they fight over stupid stuff

an old man killed his daughter's husband because he missed his evening prayer....

and thtas the one i witnessed i saw a man beating the hell out of his son inside the mosque cuz he was late for few min. 4 juma prayer.

These folks r insane.............and anything can be expected from them.....
I just hope they r not gona hurt our paki innocent ppl.

the people to get hurt in revenge will be other innocents. its time for the people of pakistan to stand up and rise against musharaf if indeed the government got it wrong, which is looking likely. its important for us to show we care. otherwise lets get ready to be iraqqed.
btw the people supporting a tough line on our western side are NOT INNOCENT in all this.

These fanatic tribal leaders, their laws, and schools of Jihad, like a weight holding Pakistan down, do nothing and it will eventually drag you under. Positive alternatives that divert the flow of minds away from the extreme madrassas is key.

The fire produced by these schools to be exported for fighting is now burning Pakistan, their fuel must be cutoff before they cause the country to implode.

wait a sec, if the ppl who will get hurt due to tribal retaliation are the innocent civilians, they need to stand up in favor of teh govt and ask to crush such criminals.

correction- its their twist in islam mixed in with their idiotic tribal culture which gets paraded around as islamic teachings. The very proof of that is in the documentary return of taleban, where suspected theifs are lynched, left to rot in public and then their bodies dragged behind jeeps while the idiot population cheers. That is their islam, which bears no resemblance to the Islam we know

and yes they will attack innocent ppl to create instability because after all the fake bravado and stuff, they are chicken shyt ppl hiding among civilians and only do hidden attacks, they may call themselves lions and what nots but their way to fight is more like weasels then lions.

maybe thats a possible future response. at present and assuming many innocents were killed in the raid its a priority that we dont lose the trust of any community in pakistan. the first to 'go' if any will be the people on our western side and this will surely lead to popular retalliation from government. which will lead to further retalliation from western rural people. we need to stop the first attack and clear message should be sent to the government of accountibility. if indeed all the people to be killed are 'militants' im sure the communities wont fall out. lets also not make terrorists.

The Pakistani goverment is to blame if any such attacks occur, not simply because they recently bombed that Bait Midrash which will provoke these people to do equally Jaahil things in retaliation such as target innocent civillians but more importantly because Pakistan has kept these people Jaahil to exploit them for it's own interests.

It is unfortunate that innocent people will have to pay for Pakistani and American goverments crimes.

A 5 yr old can tell you Islam condemns targetting non-combatant civillians but that's not the point, if you think these people are doing this due to religious conviction you are wrong, you don't understand their psychology; thirst for vendetta/revenge, honour, grief, helplesness, anger, nationalism/tribalism/patriotism etc. and many other factors also play a part (I think more or less all of these things are the cause of suicide bombings all over the world be it Palestine or India)... Islam is simply something they will mould to further strengthen and justify their cause.
