Some vegans may not have objection to having a laboratory grown meat.
Halal vs Haram is another aspect of the debate not the only aspect of it.

Mirch, at no point we are trying to act like “traditional molvies” (as you put).. If anything, we are acting like top notch Scholars asking questions and getting to know the reasons behind than putting fatwah on …

As for the topic, I would not want a test tube meat.... and as one question mentions, the zabiha factor is there, so I doubt if it could be termed as Halal.... as for pork, yes in my understanding, it will be treated as pork ....

AQ if its stem cells from a zabiha animal, then technically that meat is zabiha and anything made from those stem cells is okay..right?

Seems like it. But I will actually see if enough "DalaaiL" are there for it. Historically, most of the initial fataawah in the past regarding things related to science have been faulty (ref: telephone, microphone, loud speaker etc.) so I would rather wait and remove any doubt by studying it or getting to know all point of views.
