Get cricinfo's commentary for free on your mobile

or so they claim!..not that I am a great fan of browsing web on mobile phones. I even find it easier to e-mail than text someone!

Your phone needs to be Internet/GPRS-enabled.

wow thats cool
thanks for update and news

Re: Get cricinfo's commentary for free on your mobile

Aha there's the catch, GPRS will cost me 75/c per MB
Bloody rip off

Re: Get cricinfo's commentary for free on your mobile

Well as I said at the top I had my doubts about this 'free' offer + to be very honest I did n't get half of what was on that Mobicast promotional page :D

Anyways this is just an unnecessary comfort, something most of us who have easy access to the net at work/office don't really need...

Re: Get cricinfo's commentary for free on your mobile

^ i whole heartedly agree

Re: Get cricinfo's commentary for free on your mobile

Cost 75/c by who? By Mobicast or by Cricinfo or by your cell phone company?

What if one has unlimited data plan on the phone? Still it will cost or what?

I installed it on my Treo and look really cool.

Re: Get cricinfo's commentary for free on your mobile

^ It's from my cell company

Should be free if you have unlimited data

Re: Get cricinfo's commentary for free on your mobile

^^ Thanks

Re: Get cricinfo's commentary for free on your mobile

Thanks Asif. I installed Mobi software on my Blackberry. Since there is no cricket game going on live right now, so can't really test it. It looks good, although the font is too big, and at this point I am not sure if there is a settings area where I can reduce the font.

Some time back, Cricinfo stopped providing access to their ball-by-ball commentary on mobile devices. Then I had moved to BBC's website, which has something similar, though not as extensive. It will be nice to get cricinfo quality of ball-by-ball, when I am not near a computer, and an important game is going on.
