Whole Soccer Germany is saddened today by the news of Robert Enke’s suicide. Yesterday evening, at 6:25 P.M. Robert Enke took his life by throwing himself infront of a Train. He left behind a suicide note in which he says sorry to his wife, family members and friends for pretending that everything was fine. Enke was in pyschological treatment since 2003, but never made it public.
Germany’s Football Federation cancelled their Test Game against Chile, DFB-President Dr. Theo Zwanziger told the Reporters. The game was scheduled for coming Saturday.
Reasons for this unbelievable act was his depression. Doctor’s worldwide consider depressions since a few years as a illness. The Problem with Enke was, no one ever noticed that he was depressed. Neither his Team mates at Hannover nor the mates in the National Team knew that Enke is ill and has depressions.
