It looks like you had lots of fun and made lots of friends. One thing I agree (reference to your Hindu couple pic from salzburg) that Hindus/Sikhs I ever met in USA or Canada seem to be polite and friendly towards Pakistanis and vice versa .. The hatred politics is within the boundaries of sub-continent . Outside that place, we all are the same people.

To be frank here—some of my BEST friends during my postings abroad (Bahrain, Qatar, Abudhabi, Dubai, Zurich, Yemen and Oman 1975-1992)
I have had HINDU couples as my caring neighbors and friends–and it was well reciprocated by us…at every point. Much so much that there is a member here on GS…a hindu doctor from India settled in States–who is my best friend…too!
Moreover–I still receive RAKHEE from Amita…my friend Pradeep’s wife in the Gulf…since 1982. It reaches me through DHL dot on time!
I met ASHIMA & SHUSHAANT by chance while on Vienna Bus Tour…as they sat next to me. Next day while I was boarding…the train for Salzburg…I saw them in the same compartment. ..And again…at Salzburg…the same noon..I met them, again, for Sound-of-Music tour.
Now Ashima & Shushaant send me mails…and we exchange lot of goodies…with LOLs or ‘fumes’ extricated via stupendous scribes!!

Thank you----my trip to Hannover was for a few hours–like 5 on our way to Hamburg, Frankfurt and Heidelberg.
The only reason why I dropped by at this Industrial Town–was that my brother in law…has lived there for 32 years. He is now in Toronto… having lived ten years in Abudhabi also.
I was also fascinated by the TRADE FAIR I have so much–heard of on HANNOVER and indeecI did visit the very site–a bit off color then (Dec-08) due to winter season…
