Owners of George Foreman grills, what do you think of it? Is it a good buy? Or would you consider a stove-top grill a better alternative? If I do buy it, I will probably just be cooking chicken on it, or making grilled veggies…
Re: George Foreman Grill?
It is good investment for keeping your cooking moist juicy and tender. I have a small for just family and one big one for use when we have company. They are easy to clean and do a good job of melting the fat out of fatty foods.
Please make sure that you clean it while it is still hot, with a moist paper towel. Do not try to clean it if the the food is sticking to it and it gets cold using some kind of abrasive pad , or material that will ruin the non stick quoting on it.
Re: George Foreman Grill?
Thank you for the advice! It does look like a really good product...
Re: George Foreman Grill?
We only used it a couple of times surely drains the fat out theres a drip in the corner and a small bowl they give to collect it...we didnt use it much but it does what it says!
Re: George Foreman Grill?
i had one years ago and got tired of cleaning it, and wondered why the grates just wont come off for easy cleaning. I think since then they have made the grates removable but meanwhile I started the grill-pan to oven combo which gives me better results.
Re: George Foreman Grill?
^Yes, they have started making their grills with removable plates now... I think that's the one I might go for.
Re: George Foreman Grill?
I used it once, and then it stayed gathering dust for about 2 years, in the end i gave it away.
Re: George Foreman Grill?
It was that bad? Why didn't you like it?
Re: George Foreman Grill?
just didnt enjoy the whole pallava of cooking on it, and it never tasted nice, so i went back to frying everthing
so much for the healthy streak I had got into them days
Re: George Foreman Grill?
i love this grill really..its indeed fantastic...so far as i have made chicken tikka quarters, malai boti, grilled salmon ,tikka style chicken wings, veggies etc..its awesome...the only problem is the cleaning of plates:(
Re: George Foreman Grill?
^That sounds great! Except for the cleaning complaint, most people (on different forums) always mention it being a problem. But the grills with the removable plates that they've now started making are apparently an excellent idea.

First spray pam before starting to grill , second clean it while it is still hot with a water soaked grill. It is a cinch to clean it if you use these two tips.
