George Foreman grill - recipes please!

In order to try and eat healthier, I’ve ordered a George Foreman grill for us to start using at home. I’m quite new to this whole grilling business so does anyone have any tried and tested recipes which I could try out this ramzaan? For example chicken, homemade burgers, steaks, etc?

Thank you.

Re: George Foreman grill - recipes please!

Rainbow chicken kebabs turn out so good on the GFG.

Take some wooden sticks and dip them in cold water for an hour. Veggies to thread could be zucchini, bell peppers (I prefer the yellow or orange), cherry tomatoes and red onions all cut up in an inch sized pieces.

Rub any spice rub+salt/pepper to your liking to the chicken and leave it in the fridge for an hour or two, make the chicken kebabs alternating with the veggies onto the wooden sticks. Once ready to grill, brush the kebabs with olive oil infused with parsley or green onions. Place the kebabs on the grill and let them cook away 7-8 mins till all sides are thoroughly cooked.

p.s: You can use chicken breast or thighs for this recipe

Re: George Foreman grill - recipes please!

I use this recipe to make chicken steak using my George Foreman…

  • Chicken Steak

Chicken – 2 breast pieces
Balsamic Vinegar – 1 tsp (or white vinegar 1 tsp and sugar 1 tsp)
Worcestershire Sauce – 1 tsp
Olive Oil – 3 tsp
Garlic Paste – ¾ tsp
Salt- 1 tsp
Pepper- ½ tsp

Clean and score the chicken breasts. Marinate them in a Ziploc bag with the rest of the ingredients for a minimum of 3 hours in the fridge.

(Make sure the chicken breasts are not too thick. They shouldn’t be thicker than an inch each.)

Sautéed vegetables
Use any combination of vegetables. For example:
Cauliflower – 100 gm
Carrots – 100 gm
Frozen peas and corn – 100 gm
Vegetable oil- 1 tbsp
Garlic paste- 2 tsp

Steam or microwave the vegetables with salt until nearly cooked.
Heat a pan and add the oil and garlic. Then add the vegetables and sauté on high flame for a minute.

Pepper sauce

  • Oil or Butter – 2 tbsp
    Plain flour – 2 tsp
    Pepper – 1 ¼ tsp
    Worcestershire sauce – 3 or 4 drops
    Chicken stock- 1 cup

Take a saucepan. Add the butter/oil to it and let it melt. Add the flour and cook on low heat until the flour is well cooked. Be careful not to let it burn. To get a dark-colored sauce, use a low flame. Add the rest of the ingredients. Let it come to a boil, then lower the heat and cook until the desired consistency is achieved. Let it stay thin if you’re preparing the sauce early and thicken it when you’re about to serve.

Grill the chicken for around 12 minutes in a George Foreman grill (check what temperature it should be in your grill’s manual) , or whatever grill you have. Once it’s ready, serve with fries, vegetables and the sauce poured over it.

Re: George Foreman grill - recipes please!

I’m thinking of ordering a George Foreman Grill as well to try and eat healthier but I can’t decide which one to order. Which one did you order and why? Do you like it so far?

Re: George Foreman grill - recipes please!

I’m now on my second George Foreman Grill and I absolutely love them!!! Burgers…chicken…fish…veggies…I grill anything and everything on it. Mine gets used about 3-4 times a week.

Re: George Foreman grill - recipes please!

Khatti - have you tried grilling lamb chops? I want to try but not sure if the meat will get ‘rubbery’ on the grill

Re: George Foreman grill - recipes please!

No, I have not tried lamb chops yet…I’d have the same concern. I don’t do t-bones/filet mignon/other steaks on it either for the same reason.

I do grill strips of fajita meat (beef) on it though without any problems

Re: George Foreman grill - recipes please!

khattichic – which george foreman grill model do you have? Could you please give me the specifics for it (model #)! I’d really like to get one too and since you love the one you have I might consider that one!
