Some things are more palatable in their original form and George Bush is one of them. Thank God the new version isn’t coming to Pakistan!!!

BBC NEWS | Americas | UN appoints Bush Snr quake envoy

George Bush Senior, the former US president, has been appointed a special United Nations envoy in the Pakistan and Kashmir earthquake zone.
Secretary General Kofi Annan appointed him to help with reconstruction and rehabilitation for survivors of the disaster in which 87,000 died.

The UN is asking for an extra $45m to provide survivors with thick blankets and shelter materials.

Pakistan’s government has greeted news of Mr Bush’s new role positively.

“It is a good selection and we welcome it,” said foreign ministry spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam.

The father of the current US president, George W Bush, said he looked forward to his work as envoy.

“This is a disaster of enormous proportions and the recovery is going to be a long and difficult task,” he said.

Mr Annan said he was “delighted” to have Mr Bush’s help.

“We know that he is going to bring extraordinary leadership and attention to this terrible tragedy,” he added.

After the Indian Ocean tsunami disaster nearly a year ago in which at least 217,000 died, another former US president, Bill Clinton, was appointed in a similar role as Mr Annan’s envoy

Will your flattery prevent them from coming after K and K in light of the fact that, Punjab being the “core” of Pakistan, is the real support base for K and K and hub of ideological, political, and militant Islam?

It could be K&K, or M&M, or B&B, they have to leave Pak territory and head out to Gitmo. So far the K&K, or M&M are eating daal, and drinking chai while renting the homes and making whores of our tribals. As soon as they head out to Punjab, Sindh, or Balochistan they are promptly nabbed and handed over to the good ole USA.

It could be K&K, or M&M, or B&B, they have to leave Pak territory and head out to Gitmo. So far the K&K, or M&M are eating daal, and drinking chai while renting the homes and making whores of our tribals. As soon as they head out to Punjab, Sindh, or Balochistan they are promptly nabbed and handed over to the good ole USA.

True a tribal can carry a gun but neither has the resources nor the foresight to envision and help realize grand plans like Sino-Muslim nexus to challenge the status-quo in Persian Gulf and Indian Osean, Muslim Ummah and political Islam, development and prolifiration of WMDs, and organizing and mobalizing political Islam to materialize regional and international political agenda. Tribals didn’t help Usama try devicing a dirty nuclear bomb–according to newspapers they were some fundo scientists from Lahore, Punjab.

And Baluchis, Pashtuns, Sindhis, and Urdu-speakers etc. can go farther than some deceptive nabbing of terrorists and can ask and struggle for making the region really terrorism-free, WMDs-free, Islamic-militancy-exporting free, and WMDs prolifiration free that would stay impartial in the clash between great powers neither gravitating towards one power nor another.
