since the launch of geo news, there main geo tv has started airing indian dramas from sony tv like jassi, kkusum and yeh meri life hai

While I don't have Geo, I was browsing the website, and was suprised at how much coverage they are giving to indian content. **Sony dramas, are proberly beemed in illlegally in Pakistan, so what's the point of Geo to air the same content that is already avaliable?
I'm so disapionted that Geo has already created one of the most artistic dramas of Pakistan such as Umroa Jan Ada, and others. It has established and created individuality to our dramas and our art. Unfortunetly as more indian content is consumed, commercialisim , degradtion of acting, creativity, and fake culture will follow suite. THis is also creating a huge inferiority complex among our people,as we are always "compared" to the Indos.**
While our people feed on indian content, whether films and now dramas, how much of our art is apperciated and known to the Indian masses? The already crossing of our music stars, are made sure that their identity is reduced as much as possible or subverted as much as possible in people's mind.
These hindu dramas are incredibly pathetic and illiterate housewives can only serve as their audiances.

indian dramas aren't really all that great...i loved George ka Pakistan (eventhough only watched a few episodes)...what an original idea...we need to c more pakistani shows like that...

Is this for viewers in Pakistan or abroad? I'm in the USA, and I don't see Indian dramas on there.

Kuch ziyada hi dosti ho gaie hai pakistan india main. 
ALthough i am sure, none of the indian channels show pakistani stuff, aside from commercials.
I dont see indian channels and cant stand indian dramas. All of them are so fake. Pakistan dramas USED to be good and original, now they are also follwoing indian foot prints.

well pretty soon cable operators will boycott Geo.. as they boycotted Zee due to some dramas containing anti-Pakistan dialogues..

^TV channels have great social responsibility, and take part in societal molding of minds, this is true esp. in a poor country like Pakistan, where education has failed to an extent that only Popular culture can keep you nationalized. This is why Geo should stop being superficial and ditch the hindus.

Currently on their schedule - KKKKusum and Jassi jaisee koi nahin. Not sure how anti-pak they are but most Pakis watch these dramas anyway on Sony. I wonder how many of those will switch over to Geo to re-watch these from the begining :-s

You guys cab bray all you want, Geo and every other TV channel is in the business of making money. They are not pakistan's foreign affairs dept. If their customers want to watch Indian stuff (I don't watch any of it), they are going to show that every chance they get. You might want to protest to the advertisers who underwrite these programs and see how far you get with them. Jootay maarke buildingse nikaal denge every one of you.
