Atleast the fundamentals say it how it is.. These people who claim to be "englighterned moderates"or whatever is just plain bull****. Either you follow Islam, or you don't. No point in trying to sugar coat everything to make it more appealing for others. Follow your religion, or reject it completly.
True.
i think you are misrepresenting the words of the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu alaihi wassalam in the context being discussed here
please do dot confuse the falsehood of that village in india, qadian, to the teaching of islam.
(collected accounts of the sayings and deeds of Muhammad SAW), the Prophet said: "It is very close, that different nations will invite one another against you, just as people seated around a platter of food invite one another to consume that food."
Someone asked the Prophet: "Will we be few in number that day?"
The Prophet said: "No you will be many, but you will be like the rubbish of the flood. Allah will extract from the hearts of your enemies their fear and Allah will cast in your hearts wahn (weakness)."
Someone asked the Prophet: "What does wahn mean?"
The Prophet said: "The love of the dunya (the world) and the dislike (fear) of death."
^Dude, are you "intellectually challenged" or something? What is up with you and Ahmadis? What does this thread have to do with them?
Keep it simple guys. I dont think, any of it is relevant.
Pyari yaar, it’s not only Pakis who are paranoid.
I was in Pakistan for quite a while and I never came across anyone who hated America, yes the majoirty of Pakis disagreed with American gov/foreign-policies but they did not hate America as a nation or the American people or because they are non-Muslim.
Even though Pakis disagree with western foreign policies, they still idolised western celebrities (wrestlers, cricketers, actors/actresses).
A minoirty of Pakis might have come to hate America as a nation, but they are a minoirty and such xenophobic people also exist in America…
…I was watching some YouTube video rants earlier and it’s amazing how many educated non-Muslim westerners are paranoid and hateful of all Muslims…
…They think Barak Hussein Obama is a crypto-Muslim and that all Muslims (which is a 1/4 of the worlds population) are evil. According to them the moderate ones are really undercover extremists/fanatics..
…Sometimes the bullfeces that emanates from their mouths makes one laugh but it also scares one how hateful ppl can be.
Re: Geo or jeenay do!
Sure prophet may have told his followers to be "moderate" but today being moderate means not following Islam 100%. Women who don't cover their head and men who don't go to the masjid 5 times a day is "moderate". People going to rock concert and mixing of opposite gender freely is also supposedly being moderate. Do you think the prophet reffered that as moderate?
By the way, im totally liberal myself but i just find it hypocritical to sugar coat non-islamic things by calling it "englightened moderation" or whatever.
This is one reason why I actually have more respect for a fanatic because atleast hes being honest about it .
Re: Geo or jeenay do!
'enlightened moderation' is a political term and a war doctrine.
although i wouldnt like to say everyone who likes the idea of it is a munafeeq, but certainly by its design its purpose is to plot, against muslims and islam, from the inside
lets throw the term in the bin, if we find we struggle with upholding islam in our daily lives, we should do what we can or what we want even.
rather then furhter alienating and making hurdles for fellow believers, lets appreciate empassioned adherence.

Please enlighten me.
Lets not describe people as Taliban, moderates, or fundamentals. Theres 3 categories of people according to Islam.
1)Momin
2)Munafiq
3)Mushrik/kafir
Munafiqeen are those who break islamic laws and commit sins yet still remain Muslim. If you don't adhere to Islamic laws, you're a munafiq. how many muslims around you fit in that category? I would say majority.
