Geo-Indian campaign on ISI exposed

This news broke out back in october 2013, but it’s still worth sharing because of the short memories of the Tarek Fatah-loving members of this forum:

Indian campaign on ISI exposed – The Express Tribune

Hindustan times even made an apology
A clarification - Hindustan Times

now i guess all the Geo fans here are going to claim this is an ISI conspiracy to malign Geo lmfao

Here’s a great comment written on the article above about the short memories of Pakistanis:

Re: Geo-Indian campaign on ISI exposed

Mubashar Lucman & Zaid Hamid are the least credible jihadis in whole country. I'd not trust them if my life dependent on them...

Re: Geo-Indian campaign on ISI exposed

This article is from the Express tribune affiliated with the New York Times intl, so that should please you, and the Hindustan Times made an official apology.

Idk why people on this forum love Geo so much when my own father works for that news organization and he know's what a dirty job they do.

Re: Geo-Indian campaign on ISI exposed

^^^ Just b/c it's written so it must be true? Btw, aap ki abbo dirty channel kelyia keyun kaam kertay hain?

Re: Geo-Indian campaign on ISI exposed

He doesn't work for the channel, but in a different department.

Re: Geo-Indian campaign on ISI exposed

That doesnt give them any credibility cuz GEO is also affiliated with CNN and other international media, doesnt prove anything.

And to evaluate their efficiency, just notice what they are doing for last few days since Hamid Mir incident has happened. They are hardly covering anything else except beating the drum of how gruesome act he's done, how noble the army is, and how should we deal with this "Ghaddari" act of Mir. Is this what journalism all about?

And as for Mubasshir Luqman, i'm totally out of words for him. For first few hours he kept on trying to prove that whole firing incident on Hamid Mir is a complete "topi drama" and why did the bullets hit him on lower body and not upper body!! Wut kinda sick mind is that??!!
Ofcourse for army loving people, right now Hamid Mir is a "Ghaddar" and Mubashir luqman and Zaid hamid are most patriots. While ZH just tweeted today that he wish that Mir is hanged till death for his allegation against army. Ofcourse!!!! :D

Re: Geo-Indian campaign on ISI exposed

It does raise many questions, Hamid Mir had armed body guards, why weren’t they hurt? Why didn’t they retaliate?it’s also alleged that he had a bullet proof car(they’re getting really common in Pakistan for top journalists and public figures), and just before he was attacked he alleged that the ISI would kill him, so are the ISI that dumb to assassinate him, to make themselves look bad.

Watch Geo all day, their channel is full of pro-Indian propaganda, and in the article I shared they were exposed for conspiring with RAW and Hindustan times to malign the ISI, but Hindustan times later apologized.
A clarification - Hindustan Times

Just look at Geo News late night line up of anchors, it includes Najam Sethi, a former Marxist, member of the London group and a militant in the Baloch rebellion in the 70s.
Crazy diamonds ? V - Blogs - DAWN.COM

That’s Nadeem Paracha’s article about Sethi.

Hamid Mirs own father was a marxist journalist and almost all anti-state journos in Pakistan are/were marxists(including Asma Jehangir).

Re: Geo-Indian campaign on ISI exposed

Yup, exactly the version of Mubasshir Luqman. Very impressive!! Useless to even argue that. I concede you are right. He did that drama. Made sure someone attack him and he got bullets, but survives. All fake, right!! And then how dare he took name of Army or its spy agency. A heinous crime and i’m sure you’d agree with Zaid hamid that he should be hanged for that.

Pakistanis… and their conspiracy theories!! way to go!

And lets see what is there is the “clarification” of hindustan times:

“With reference to the news article titled “Dawood, ISI ‘setting up’ TV channel in Pakistan” uploaded fromNew Delhi, India, on our website, www.hindustantimes.com](http://www.hindustantimes.com/), on 29-09-2013, it is clarified that M/s Axact Pvt Ltd. has denied any such association. In view of the said clarification, the aforementioned article has already been removed from www.hindustantimes.com](http://www.hindustantimes.com/) and any inconvenience connected therewith is regretted.”

Now its apologizing for Axact Ltd. but where is the proof that Geo is acting as Raw’s agent to malign ISI??? I think you are lost in translation.

And anybody being marxist or no is purely their personal thing. Faiz ahmed faiz and habib jalib were also marxist, doesnt mean they were traitor.

Keep judging .. and everything wil be nothing but a conspiracy theory, every other person who dont agree with you will be a traitor, and every muslim not sharing your holy approach will be a kaafir. Thats all!!

Attack on Hamid Mir: You have the right to remain silent
Armed with an internet connection, our budding forensic investigation experts have already decided who the triggermen in the attack on Hamid Mir are.

Hamid Mir was shot because of his calls to respect the human rights of the Baloch, because he stood with Mama Qadeer in the VMBP’s Long March.

No, it was because he didn’t give enough space to the Taliban’s viewpoint.

No, silly, it’s because a distraction was needed from the non-stop coverage of Musharraf in Karachi. Now, under the cover of this distraction, the former president can safely fly the coop. That’s right; guess which party controls every falling leaf in Karachi and was allied to Musharraf? Do the math.

Don’t be ridiculous; he staged the attack on himself for ratings/sympathy/cover of some kind. I mean, just look at that single, blurred, frame I saw of the car. Where’s the blood? Surely that’s proof positive? I mean if Malala can do it why can’t Hamid Mir? I even wrote a blog about it after spending 15 minutes googling gunshot victims. Open your eyes, people. I’m an expert.

That’s a short summary of the social media theories revolving around the attack on Mr Mir.
Armed with an internet connection and the ability to understand simple mathematics (2+2=5), our budding forensic investigation experts have already decided who the triggermen in this episode are.
Then, of course, there are the ‘fastest finger first’ condemnation bots, because every second counts here. There are those who will time the politicians racing to get to the hospital first, because nothing spells real concern like a timely photo op.
Then there’s the ‘stay safe’ crowd. Well-meaning, and when you really have nothing more to say, I suppose that’s the best one can do. And really, it is all about what’s being said, to whom and for what reason. Because clearly, there are those who would be happier if the media as a whole just finally shut up.
‘But that’s not going to happen!’ say others, mostly journalists.

The media will not be silenced, their voice will not be muzzled. Not by one bullet or a hundred.

Now that’s reassuring. That, despite threats, attacks and murders, the media will somehow continue to speak out (as it does now and then) against injustice, criminal gangs, terrorist organisations, out of control state agencies and so on and so forth.
But that’s just wishful thinking. There’s no point harking to the Zia-era repression and pointing out the stalwarts who stood up to it.
The past is another country; one in which your life wasn’t worth a few thousand rupees at most, even after adjusting for inflation.
The media will be muzzled; will grow silent simply because there is no security and probably will never be any justice. Not just for journalists, but for anyone at all. This is the reality we are faced with.
Let’s be honest with ourselves: We aren’t Hamid Mir. We aren’t Mustafa, Raza Rumi, the Hazara or any other victim du jour you choose. We are, all of us, on our own.
So stay safe, until you’re not.

Re: Geo-Indian campaign on ISI exposed

You’re really naive and out of touch, Geo News and Hindustan times claimed that the ISI was setting up a channel called ‘Bol’ using a company called ‘Axact’ (allegedly owned by Dawood Ibrahim), this was clearly their attempt to malign the ISI and destroy their efforts to partake in the information warfare that Geo has initiated.

How do you know if it’s real?Do you have photograhphic or video evidence? Our only source of info is the mainstream media, and anybody in Pakistan that questions the media is immediatly labelled a conspiracy nut or Zaid Hamid fan, whereas in America it’s considered perfectly acceptable and rational to question the mainstream media, but you’re considered a ‘right wing nutjob’.

This what pseudo-‘liberals’ like you like to say just discredit anybody’s theory and yes i call you a fake liberal because you’re thinking and cognitive abilities are pretty conservative, relying solely on the mainstream media.

Yes but neither of those participated in the Baloch rebelllion! lmfao what’s wrong with the comprehension skills of most pakis.

Sheeple like you that believe that everything the mainstream media says is true and can’t understand the greater game being played are going to suffer.

Naaaah, i’m not a fascist unlike you, your name calling is pretty immature, you can’t prove me otherwise, anybody that questions the media is apparently a ‘conspiracy nut’ according to you.

Nice try but i’m not even that religious, i hate the Taliban, I hate the Jamaat, i hate Mullahs, and i’m actually all for promoting a secular constitution that allows freedom of expression, that’s what a real liberal is.
