Interesting thought I noticed when I was speaking to my aunts about girls they are looking for when it comes to rista..they want fair skinned, skinny and easy going with cooking skills.. the list continued but i stopped paying attention at that point!
If you talk to my cousins that are going to college etc they want girls that understand their lifestyles and can blend easily and share good conversation with them. I am wondering if they communicate their desires to their parents or just settle for whatever they choose for them..
Is this a generation gap in our culture because I have noticed more girls and boys in pakistan changing their thinking for perspective spouses?
What my mum wanted for my brother and what he wanted were totally different things, looks and personality wise..
Aunties and mothers also tend to stress 'someone who will listen to him' ie a level of subservience (even if the girl is a high achiever).. A lot of guys don't want that anymore..
The guys may say they want someone 'they want girls that understand their lifestyles' but in reality after marraige they will want everything their mother did for them like cooking skills etc much more than a conversation.
