Outgoing ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan Ahmed Abdul Razzaq has said that late president of Pakistan General Ziaul Haq’s bombardment on Palestinians in 1970, was done without taking any permission from Pakistani people, who would never allow this to happen.
============================================
Background on above Statement :
The most promising comparison between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Jewish State of Israel came from Gen. Zia ul-Haq. Lacking a political constituency, he skillfully exploited Islam to legitimize and consolidate his military dictatorship. Presenting himself as a simple, pious and devoted Muslim, he institutionalized religious radicalism in Pakistan. In so doing, he found Israel to be his strange ally.
Toward the end of 1981, he remarked: “Pakistan is like Israel, an ideological state. Take out the Judaism from Israel and it will fall like a house of cards. Take Islam out of Pakistan and make it a secular state; it would collapse.” He likewise surprised many observers in March 1986, when he called on the PLO to recognize the Jewish state.
He was actively involved both in the 1970 Black September massacre of the Palestinians in Jordan as well as in Egypt’s re-entry into the Islamic fold more than a decade later. From 1967 to 1970 our Commander of the Faithful Late. General Muhammad Ziaul Haq was in Jordan in Official Militray Capacity and he helped late. King Hussain of Jordan in ‘cleansing’ the so-called Palestinian Insurgents, Zia and Hussain butchered many innocent Palestinians in the name of Operation against Black September {a militant organization of Palestinians}.
The intensity of bloodletting by Zia ul Haq and King Hussain was such that one of the founder father of Israel Moshe Dayan said:“King Hussein (with help from Zia-ul-Haq of the Pakistani army) sent in his Bedouin army on 27 September to clear out the Palestinian bases in Jordan. A massacre of innumerable proportions ensued. Moshe Dayan noted that Hussein “killed more Palestinians in eleven days than Israel could kill in twenty years.” Dayan is right in spirit, but it is hardly the case that anyone can match the Sharonism in its brutality.”
Goliko I didn’t expect you to cut and paste a year old post from a rabid anti-Pakistani bhonpoo called Asia Times.
It is OK to copy and post, but you didn’t even give credit to the original author. Were you afraid of something?
Coming back to this topic. Those Palestinians were no innocents who wanted to overthrow King Hussain. This was all being done by these Palestinians to please their Commie masters.
Think about this Goliko, at one point there were 8 million Afghan refugees in Pakistan. What if they had tried to overthrow the government of Islamabad? Would you sit around smoking hukkah? While those innocent Afghan Refugees take over your country? Luckily that scenario never materialized. Afghans and Pakistanis were in the same camp.
People want to know why Palestinians lost in the Middle East? The answer is simple. They chose the wrong kind of partners. Mufti-e-Palestine chose to be bedfellow with none other than Hitler. Once the Hitler was sent to Nazi Heaven (we call it bottom of the hell), the same Palestinians chose Commies as their new masters (Ok friends and supporters. Happy now?).
Logic says that you own up to your actions, whether good or bad. However these lazy @r$e bidduins tend to blame the whole world but themselves.
This Abdul Razzaq Jakka should go and take a pi$$ at Arafat tomb. Blaming Zia is not going to get him the Palestinian heaven (just one level above the hellish pit where Stalins and Hitlers dwell).
Bunch of pipsqueak Arabs love to throw rocks at Pakistan. Damn Bidduins.
p.s. Nothing against you Goliko. You just cut and paste an old article. My anger is directed at these namak haram anti-Pakistanis who live here, eat here, and then try to pi$$ in our yards.
There was nothing wrong in supporting Jordan against the palestinians afterall the kingdom helped pakistan enormously in the'71 war sending a whole squadorn of F-104s.
The palestinians Egyptians and Iraqis all have historically backed India in the wars('65 and'71)
I am neither agreeing nor supporting what is written by the author…what i just tried to pointed out was that there has been contacts between Pakistani & Israeli authorities long before(It’s not Musharraf who just started it)…Even that “Islam kaa Sipah-e-Salar of 80’s” was also involved in these contacts…So it is not Musharraf who has opened a pandora box now…
Pakistan had contacts way back in 1947 so what is the point here?
Suna hai waqt aane par gadhey ko bhee baap bana letein hain!
Iran got weapons+spares from Israel to fight iraq in the eighties and Pakistan received weapons from Israel (actually were first ironically russian weapons captured in lebanon that CIA bought to send to afghan rebels to hide its role in afghanistan).
^Yes that's the point....That's the message coming out of it...public shouldn't malign Musharraf for something that Pakistan/Muslim world should have done a long time back..but i agree on this notion too, that Muslim world should not accept Israel until West Bank is freed & Jerusalem(Eastern/Muslim quarter)be made the capital of Palestine........
