The sign ‘Please do not use Engine Brakes’ what engine brakes? are they not the same brakes we use all the time or they are asking to slow down or not use ‘hand brake’?
The sign ‘Bridge may be icy’. I know this is a natural phenomenon, may be because since the bridge gets more colder than the rest of the road (because of exposed from top and bottom) so the dew could get frost quickly producing black ice. Is that correct?

Although engine braking is a general term that applies to all vehicle types, I think the signs are specifically meant for the use of engine brakes aka exhaust brakes on trucks etc. - their compression braking system produces a lot of noise which is what a lot of municipalities want to reduce... at least that's what I think.

I'm guessing that you only drive automatic cars. Engine brakes is where you downshift to lose speed. This prevents wear & tear on your brake pads, but causes the engine to rev higher (and louder).
Engine braking is more commonly done by truck drivers and it reduces the intervals at which they have to replace brake pads.

If you can use microwave to dry roast popcorn why can’t you dry roast chana in it . Smell of freshly roasted chana is so apitizing.
I tried but failed miserably .
Anybody can help ? But please try your suggession first before posting.
