Was Shah Jehan a pathaan?

IMHO family determines very little, excluding immediate family, just look at him now, who'd have known that a nawab would one day be a dancer. A dancing pathaan?

Chota Nawab Saif Ali Khan does hail from royalty on his father’s Pathaudi side, who are a Pathan clan. His mother is Sharmila Tagore, the 1960s Bengali actress.

He has nice features to start with but I must say Saif was especially looking good with his stylish haircut and clothes sense in the new flick “Kal Ho Na Ho” opposite Preity Zinta and Shah Rukh Khan.

The name Khan comes from Mongols, also Mughuls had this name. So if they are Khan doesn't make them Pathan = Pashtun/Afghan.

Though if they are, they are probably the best looking Indians but the ugliest looking Pathans ever. Our local charsis look better then Shah Rukh, Salman etc. all combined.

I agree Karina. The daughter (Soha Ali Khan) will be starring in Bollywood films too. I wish Bollywood films would give some women a chance who all don't look so similar. I would be nice to see an actress with meat on her bones .... how Hema Malini used to be in the 70s.

there are tow kind of khans the khan ur talking bout is kahn sumtimes mispelled khan but pathans and moguls are different they have otatlly different history

Not in my opinion. I think she looked absolutely fantastic! Now she is too skinny since she's dieted, etc.

Mehnaz, tell me you're not serious. Hema looked like a transvestite having a bad hair day. She looks better now.

But I agree with you that many actresses have started to look alike (so have the actors). We need some animation, like Mumtaz had. Or some natural prettiness like Tina Munim's.
