Re: Gender and Trustworthiness
I have a small circle of female friends that i trust. The circle is small because I've learned that there are few friends who are sincere and trustworthy. Also, I base things on actions. A person can say the sweetest things to you, but if their actions are contradicting their words, then the relationship needs to be assessed. Because actions speak louder than words..... regardless of whether u are dealing with a male or a female friend.
I've seen guys that are trustworthy and some who are not. I've seen females who are trustworthy and some who are not. Stereotyping can sometimes prevent us from getting to know a person as an individual. And there will always be exceptions to the generalizations. I've learned to be more careful about what I disclose about myself to others and I'm learning to be not so trusting of people as I used to be. It's good to give people a chance.....and if through their actions they've proved themselves untrustworthy, then it's best to maintain a distance and find people who will truly respect u.
