US have distanced itself from Saudi and this distances is meant to grow.. other than this, after Arabian-Spring episode, there is need to such force who can tackle this kind of civil wars without inviting US/Russian planes bombing and killing indiscriminately… what in Syria was planned and tried in Pakistan, in Bahrian, and in libya…
Once there is a force with a mandate to take on ISIS and other terror outfits working in ME than it wouldn’t be easier for them to capture areas and kill people as ISIS did it in Iraq and Syria and carried out attacks in almost every country..
It is not about Muslim Ummah, because had there been any, atleast case of Palestine could have been solved long ago… it is union or collation of 39 countries, out of which only, Pakistan, Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia and Bangladesh can produce some effective force and rest of the countries are just going to be there for name-sake, if i am not wrong this force is being formed to take down ISIS type organizations, ISIS which is created to replace Al-Qaida..
And if anyone tackle ISIS, i am sure other force will be created, in order to permanently kill the snake there should be a force who can act through out countries..
besides, Pakistan need to be part of certain collation, its been too long we have been living in isolation being dictated by either Americans and others…
Having said all this, i am pretty sure such force is not going to see day-light, reason, NATO is acceptable but any union on same grounds is not acceptable to any western power… so i am sure we are not going to see this thing materializing Just like Islamic IMF thingy never got started and all architects of that were killed..
When they are on duty they are supposed not be honored. They are just regular govt employees and deserve no special regard. As soon as they get some job in an Arab country they become our pride from past. Retire ho kr izzat k masla ban jatay hain.

It is natural sunni majority country rejoice it, no rocket science. Its endless debate both Shia sunni have (self-created) reasons to hate each other. Jhang city in punjab is a classic case to analyze how sectarianism is spread.
So it seems Pakistan can get away with it and can concentrate on its own problems , that is if it bothers too , instead of getting involved internationally

From Govt. regulations point of view , this move of RS accepting offer immediately after retirement is not good at all. It makes a path for other senior Govt officials to look for outer jobs while in service ( which is serious conflict of interest ) . This practice is already there but need to be discouraged.
From politicial point of view , RS heading a coalition is better than a saudi general heading the coalition. Ideal would be if a saudi and irani gerneal as 2nd in command under RS . else it is going to be more fasad in muslim ummah than ittehad of muslim ummah.
BTW apologitical way of PML govt is very comical and shows how the INSTITUTION gives a damn to civil govt.
