Gemstone Ring

Ok, very suspicous stuff now that I think about it. Previously, I thought these were harmless and pointless things that people wore.

In Pakistan you will see people wearing rings with certain jewels, and a simple google search will tell you that some people believe in gemstones for healing powers. But many argue there is no Islamic basis for this.

I am now freaked out by the video that is posted here, and the gemstone rings they show where there are engravings of ayats written backwards and demonic stuff like that.

But Im guessing most gemstone rings don’t contain such bad black magic, they’re probably just recommended to be worn for “gemstone healing powers” whatever that is.

So the story is that a relative of mine was given a gemstone ring. He had the jeweler make the ring, but a some aalim took the stone and read prayers on it. Now I’m beginning to question whether this aalim is really an aalim or someone who is dabbling with jinns and the like. :o

I want to get my relative to just take it off, but he has such a strong belief that the ring is protecting him. And that video discussed such beliefs as “shirk”, which I never thought superstitions are equivalent to shirk, but I can see why that is said.

So, how do I find out if there is something demonic about the ring?
I want to tell that person to toss the ring, or melt the gold and just get rid of the stone, but I know he will not do it.
I don’t know how to tell if this aalim is the real deal or not. She will ask for names of the mother of a person she is investigating as to whether they’ve done black magic, and the video from the Arabic Saudi Admin Vice/Virtue Service says that is a telltale sign that you’re dealing with black magic.

:o and this aalim really comes across like they just know a lot about the Quran, etc.
