I have noticed from the photographs of Pakistani females (actresses/models) that they normally have their navels covered when they show off their bellies, so I just wanted to know if exposing the navel is considered 'vulgar' in Pakistan ?
That is all that was to my question.
I know my image has been type-cast in this forum.. people associate an ulterior motive to the most harmless of my intentions.. kyaa karoon.. changing my nick is one idea..

Re: your question, as a good muslim a woman is supposed to cover her naval, but, ofcourse we have many women in Pakistan who still like to wear saris, where they show off their naval. Some upscale/modern women wear sleeveless dresses or show off their naval. Its not a big deal for them.
As far as film actresses are concerned, they consider themselves above and beyond the normal dress code of Pakistani women, so in Pakistani films, you will routinely see the heroine prancing around in skirts (short and log), sleeveless dresses, strap-less and strapped gowns, lingerie, naval exposed and what not. Seemingly, many of the film-goers in Pakistan like to see such stuff hence it is reproduced for their entertainment. But ordinary women on the street in Pakistan, generally, do not show that much flesh.

..problem is that u only keenly look forward to whats bad on othere side of border... there r always +ve and -ve points in everthing.. havent seeen u appreciate or look for any good thing in Pakistan... this is not refeered to the pics above but in general..

As for the 'Old Monk' nick, it was banned immediately after I had registered that nick and had made it known that it was going to be my new nick.(before I could even start using it.)
Probably the admins thought it was a case of multiple nicks...or something.

Yes,I agree with you. I would like to make a start though.
One thing that you Pakis dont understand is that for nearly all Indians the knowledge of Pakistan is restricted to cricket and Kashmir.Indians dont watch Paksitani movies or TV or listen to Paki songs as much as Pakis do ours.What I am driving at is that its difficult to appreciate things about Pakistan which I as an Indian am not familiar with.Come to think of it I do love the Pakistani restaurant, Shaalimar ,in San Francisco.
While on the subject could you also direct me to the thread in which your countrymen namely Mailk73/CM/YoungBrat/Abdali/FYI/Mr. Xtreme etc. have said something good about India…

..on other hand all the north Indians I met have eagerly followed all Pakistani dramas.. and i have met a lot north Indians..and all the sikh friends I have haveseen all Pakistani stage dramas.. much more than i I have ever.. may be in South India language barrier restricts those…
