Re: Geeta's Return

@Jolie Recently BSF and Pak rangers talk took place in New Delhi, they agreed to exchange information incase of any infiltration (I can't remember exactly what was signed) and some developments. So talks are going on. Election and all I quoted are based solely on my personal obervation. I see, at election times firing on border gets intensified and opposition targets ruling party for jawans being killed at border. @Monk jara bataenge kyun, log toh ana pasand kar rahe hain :)

Re: Geeta's Return

There was held recently, and next day India opened fire at LoC. Pakistan refused sweets from Indian side because they opened fire and killed our civilians just three days before Eid (the time when Eid festivities are at peak). But India on Eid day violated the ceasefire and opened fire in civilian areas - clear violation of ceasefire terms. India had also opened fire on civilian areas on Pakistan's independence day. Not to mention leaving spy drones in Pakistan's territories.

If civilians are dying at your side, then you guys really need to push your government to stop cancelling peace talks. We want peace talks, like I said, we have far too many problems of our on to keep the eastern border active. Indian public needs to put pressure on their government.

When someone names and shames and condemns state of India for funding a ethno-fascist political group like MQM which had quite literally turned Karachi into a war zone - I do not want someone saying oh your are spreading "hatred" for poor little India because my Nani's nand's youngest bahu's's bhabi is Indian and we get along just fineeeeee in xyz Western country. So everything between India Pakistan should be portrayed hunky dory and no one should talk about ugly ground realities. Whoever talks about unpleasant facts is spreading "hatred". Such comebacks are just so irrelevant.

Re: Geeta's Return

@Jolie I gave you latest evidence of peace talks and that too held at Delhi and you are again saying the same thing that nothing is happening from Indian side. Let's discuss on some other thread dedicated for this.

Re: Geeta's Return

I believe not enough is happening at the Indian side.

Re: Geeta's Return

At times like this, Rodney King and his famous words come to mind "Can't we all get along"?

Re: Geeta’s Return

Most of us normals wish that. But :hinna:

Re: Geeta’s Return

It didn’t produce any results - the following day the firing was resumed. Unless there was another peace talks between rangers that I am not aware of.

Fine, maybe politics is really complicated domain for India - Pak. But why is India poisoning and destroying sporting traditions in the region if it is sincere about peace and making efforts? Kabbadi, karate, hockey, cricket etc - what are they getting out by punishing the sports in their anti Pakistan mission?

India - Pakistan matches generate massive level of revenue for both countries - sports brings communities and countries together, so why politicise sports? How far can you go in your quest to humiliate and insult Pakistan that you are willing to damage sporting legacies in the region? Why India shouldn’t questioned over this thuggish behaviour?

Pakistan would have been banned from hosting international cricket if an extremist organisation had forced kicked an ICC umpire out of the country at whim - and the the cricket board and government was sitting there looking helpless, or trying to look helpless.

Like these are genuine issues that need to be talked about and highlighted. This is not about dual nationals Indian - Pakisanis sitting in Middle East, Europe and America getting along with each other and talking about nice things all the times, it is all about talking about issues that directly impact people living in those countries. People in Pakistan love their cricket!

I know the thread is beyond diverted, but I just wanted to make couple of final points before I am out of here for good.

Re: Geeta’s Return

How about tangents?

Re: Geeta's Return

What the heck do you mean? We just scored more than half of South Africa runs in the 5th ODI. No wonder the normals and the tangents don't see eye to eye.

Re: Geeta's Return

@Muzna and moderators permit us to discuss something off topic to this thread here. I would be happy if someone starts a new thread. So let us continue the ongoing discussion.

Re: Geeta's Return

@Jolie don't get out of here. You have many points to discuss and those who are not aware (as you said) may know happenings. We can discuss a lot of things here so that we may understand problems, their cause, atleast this is an opportunity to think ove many issues.

Re: Geeta's Return

@LP you are unhappy with current developments I also feel that some concrete fruitful initiative should take place. For a balanced perspective you must devote some time, search on internet, read newspaper archieves (indian, pakistani and other) editorials and learn how much initiatives taken by India. Think logically India's major

talks. The same should be followed between India and Pakistan. @Jolie I think it is unjustified to say that India is not interested. You mentioned cancellation advisory level talks, yes unfortunately it cancelled but we should know reasons. Was it in the agenda to meet separatist leaders from J&K . Shall talks take place at the cost of

turmoil and insurgency. @LP my wifi is not working so I can't use laptop and my mobile is and old one, please consider :) @Jolie as far as terrorism is concerned I strongly oppose any promotion/support/funding from anywhere. My openion abou RAW is not so good it has many failures like mumbai blasts, parliament attacks, akshardha, it should better focus on strengthning local network then to enlarge others problems. MQM - I have very little information on the basis of which I think the main problem is of discrimination. Calling mohajir, quota system based on ethnicity is not good. Such discriminations are desastrious. India is still sick of caste system. I see some here are using terms like ABCD - which is also not good in my openion.

Re: Geeta's Return

@Jolie you say India is aggresive, threatning war. I ask you when did India initiated war with Pakistan? I am in no mood to debate war but I go with facts what I read Pakistan initiated three wars If I am wrong then prove it else India has no intention to initiate any war with any country. My point in my openion India has no intention to initiate war. Think for a while who gains what and who losses what if wars did not happen. India could spend more than 2% of GDP on education and health, Pak too could improve it's rank in GDP and human development index, primary education. America, Russia, France could loss weapon deals, asia pivot, south asia base, America is no angel for Pakistan, I recently read in an article that CIA drones attacks have killed about 2000 in Pakistan, I think America needs Pakistan's assistance in fighting terrorist groups that attack America, out of war America gained this and won defence contracts.

Re: Geeta's Return

Yes india is aggressive. There is no question about it.

Don't put wrong arguments please.
