But see, how can you talk about laws in an Islamic country without bringing Islam? I know most laws in Pakistan revolve around the shariah. Whether they are implemented or followed is another issue.
I agree...afterall the offical name of Pakistan is "The **Islamic **Republic of Pakistan"
I wonder what happens to all those gay Muslim men who have tried and tried but just can't feel any physical attraction to a woman at all. I know people say they should just get married but if he can't make himself attracted to her what is the point? I mean isn't it going to mess up the woman's life as well? I have heard of a desi guy who is gay and he and his wife have an 'open' marriage which just seems bizarre to me. None of their families know. Surely, that is going to end up in more of a mess than if he had just not gotten married? I mean what happens if their future kids find out Dad is not their real Dad and their parent's marriage is just one huge sham?
Me personally if I had the power, I'd prob allow some sort of civil union but not call it marriage.
I may be wrong but i think its a hoax that people have been led to beleive that homosexuality is a predetrmined condition and some people shud just be allowed to practice just coz thats teh way they are born. And just like whenever you keep repeating a thing, even if it is a lie people start to beleive, this has gained reception from public.
How much perversion will you allow?
What if some people say that they are not attarcted to men or women, they are only attracted to goats. Will you allow that too?
people will commit adultery, thievery, assault, deceit, etc...whether you (or a governmental entity) allows it does not mean that it will or will not be done.
Deeba asked should those men who truly don't have any attraction towards women marry them anyways? I think not...imagine that girls' situation! To be with a man who doesn't even think you're remotely attractive, that could wreak havoc on anyone's mental and emotional stability.
The guidelines of our religion are in place, and would be in place within a legal framework if there was a true Islamic state; when someone chooses to ignore those basic precepts they leave themselves to the judgement of God.
Just a question to the guys here...
If you were in a position of power in whichever country you currently reside, would you agree to give gays equal rights or allow gay marriages..
If not why..
Let us not bring religion into the discussion. I agree that religion says it is wrong but from any other perspective why would you discriminate against them.
i have no right to go against their choice so i would allow them to live together
