do you think US should follow and legalize it? i m guessing most people here would probably disagree.

US should.

Exactly, good for them.

Re: Gay couples marry for first time in England

It’s certainly good news for the wedding industry. Here in the UK fewer straight people choose to get married, choosing instead to cohabit. Nowadays married people are actually in the minority (just). So gay people getting married should boost business.

Now I’m just waiting for the first gay divorce… and the big one… yes you guessed it… the first Gay Muslim Marriage!!

Two Pakistani girls did marry. Last year I think.

God created Adam and Eve, not Ian and Nigel with bad teeth.

Re: Gay couples marry for first time in England

Nothing new on either of those. The handful of states in the US that allow gay marriage already have gay divorces and custody battles as well. Plenty of famous gay Hollywood couples as well whose divorces make headlines.

Correct. There was a thread about it here on GS as well.

Re: Gay couples marry for first time in England

Oh yes, that’s right… but that must have been a Civil Ceremony rather than a Marriage Ceremony because it was only this week that gay marriage became legal in the UK
