I believe he has not attacked the batting, as everyone realizes India does have a solid batting, just unable to counter the opportunity.
Spock, you seem to be stuck on the fact that India suck, which is ruining this thread
(Like many hundreds many of you guys have done). There is other ways to express your emotions, than verbelly putting a team down for no reason.
Anyways, neither am I a fan of Dev or Gavaskar, but listening to their opinions is really crucial. But let's not forget, it's not what a individual explains, but what the individual believes in.
Tendulkar just needs to focus, clear his mind, and spend some time with himself to think, not for Gavaskar to think for him.
2.Sri Lanka Comes to your Country beats you up (That is 3 times in a row)
England comes to your Country beats you up
Australia comes to your country beats you up
South Africa comes to your country beats you up.
Now who is left...Bangladesh ?? And you say you are the no. 1 team in the world ??? SURE, If you say so pal.
Sure your team can BAT,BOWL and FIELD too.Bus they cant win at home.
Zeroes home Zeroes abroad - 50 years and haven't won a single test series in West Indies and Australia and call themselves as no. one team.

Now as we have been “diverted” to Pak and Ind comparision while discussing Gavaskar and K.Dev comments about Tendulkar. Here are the statistics
Test Record:
TEAM M W L D W%
--------------------------------------------
PAKISTAN 285 85 69 131 29.82%
INDIA 357 71 120 165 19.88%
OneDay Record:
TEAM M W L D W%
--------------------------------------------
PAKISTAN 522 278 228 6 53.25%
INDIA 504 233 249 3 46.23%
If someone’s claim of Pakistan being No1 Provoke someone else then lets go step by step and lets agree on Pakistan’s Team is Better than Indian Team …agree ?

Same thing can be said about your home record. 8 years, You can't even win against Zimbabwe, Australia to baad ki baat hai.
[quote] I suggest you face reality and have a look at India's win record, and ours... I know its hard looking at the mirror with an ugly face youve got...

I know India's record abroad, why not look at yours - How many series wins against WI and Australia ?? ZERO . and you call yourself No. one team.
*Another important reason for the Indian thinktank’s eagerness to play here and bat, is the poor form of Tendulkar. He needs to make some runs to be in a confident frame of mind.
It may sound uncomplimentary, but for the first time in his career, people are talking about the need for Tendulkar to take these practice games seriously. His form is a genuine concern.
So is that of Ganguly’s. He contrived his own dismissal in the first innings of the Lord’s Test and in the second, he was in the middle for a minute only.*

Ehsan bhai, just let me point out one fact then, please...
8 years -> Then how come Pakistan defeated Windies in 1997-98 3-0 whitewash in Pakistan?

Last time you beat them at home was 1994, This is 2002 - That's almost 8 years.

Ok, so how many times has Australia visited Pakistan since 1994 for a test match series? JUST ONCE, SO STOP MAKING EXCUSES!!!
and better yet, we went to australia and defeated them 2-1 recently (with their umpires), something India can only dream of!

Asif whether Pakistan wins at home or away which it does that doesn't hide the fact that India is probably in the worst state it has ever been in.
Instead of replying by insulting Pakistani cricket look at the Indian cricket team and look how they are struggling.
The bowling has been weak for India you can't deny that. Kumble has been poor since his injury. Srinath probs your best pacer has retired. This leaves you with the likes of Agarkar bowling. Zaheer is probably your best bowler and he is not yet world class but he is a good sign. Harbajan is inconsistent but yes can deliver a good performance once in a while. However you can't deny that India have a world class set of bowlers which other nations have especially the pace attack which is non existent. Compare Nehra/Khan to a Mcgrath/Gillespie or even a Waqar/Wasim.
The spinners aren't even world class. Muralitheran and Saqlain can win matches, currently there is not one India bowler that is a matchwinner like a Dev or in the 90s Kumble.
The batting has been rocky recently. 221 against a weak England attack without Caddick or Gough. These are not god signs for India. India used to be known to be an excellent batting team with excellent batsmen. Now however they are excellent batsmen but a poor batting team. Besides Dravid there is not one player in the India side who is consistent which wasn't the case a few years ago where Tendulkar, Ganguly where all consistent.
This is not an India bashing thread but is simply a discussion about the decline of Indian cricket. Nobody is insulting players just that the quality of Indian cricket has decreased as a whole.
Now don't reply insulting Pakistani cricket as the discussion os not about Pakistan but is about Indian cricket.

Is that my fault ?? You got one chance and you were beaten - Mark Taylor led His team to victory after some 39 years or so. And they beat you with your best attack (Spin as well as Fast), and you telling me I am making excuses ?

You are the one who is dreaming here, Pakistan has never beaten Australia in Australia in a TEST SERIES. If you are talking about ODIs, then are sure that India has never won a ODI SERIES in Australia ??
Asif_k, for once can you please leave Pakistan out of this.
Why do you always come to Pakistan when one of us points an error in your team.
Please stay on the topic about Tendulkur.
OK yes we all admit India is better than Pakistan, now please don't get off topic and talk what happend to Tendulkur and India at lords.
