It was a nonsensical act of violence. That man should be punished accordingly.
Having said that, while watching his various cheap acts online, I have felt like slapping Amir Liaqat Hussain hard, live and exclusive on a Geo TV program, more than a dozen of times. I am pretty sure someone would do it on my behalf, sooner rather than later. And I would like that person to be rewarded accordingly.

Ok funny thing is that Aamir Khan, SRK, Salman Khan etc have done shirtless scenes or scenes with less clothes but no one dares to slap them.
Gauhar made a statement that this does not reflect her religion and background.

I felt injured, but stronger than ever,” said Indian television personality and actor Gauhar Khan, who was recently slapped by an audience member while hosting a television show, in a statement she made to the press on Tuesday evening.
“This loser doesn’t represent my beautiful faith which in itself means peace and submission,” Khan said, adding that the attacker was not a representative of the Muslim community.
Khan, who was left shaken after the incident, remained composed while reading out her statement on the act. Although she teared up once, she reinstated and remained composed for the most part:
She may not be the ideal Muslim according to many but technically she is better as she refuses to marry someone who is not Muslim and does not take part in religious festivals of other religions.
Before slapping her the guy tried to grope her but when that was fruitless he slapped her. If he is so religious why is he watching a reality show with singing and where many people are wearing such clothes? Why he touched her inappropriately before slapping her if he says he is “religious”?

"I may have set an example to a few people as a woman with a mind of my own, but I have never promoted any kind of dress code. I wouldn't wear a party dress to a prayer meeting or anything revealing on a college campus. But if it's a social do or if I'm on a set, I can dress differently, can't I? Unless it harms anyone, one should adopt a live and let live attitude and not try to dictate terms."
Even though she thanked supportive fans via Twitter, the distraught host also admitted: "But today, I have to confess, that I'd be afraid, even of genuine fans. And that's sad."
I don't know what she wore at the time but that doesn't give anyone an excuse to touch her inappropriately and then slap her. SHe never said she was a role model or representing a whole community.
