At work, gupshup audio and video streaming files always give me a Gateway Timeout error (504…I think). Same deal with winamp radio stations (shoutcast). I am assuming there are either ports being blocked by my office firewall or the Lan is just slow. Anybody care to explain?
Re: Gateway Timeouts
^ n’ even if he’s not blocking it he will after u speak with him ![]()
Re: Gateway Timeouts
LOL, yup dont ask your sys/net admin
Re: Gateway Timeouts
I had a nice chat with em and was informed that they already do block that kind of ‘stuff’. Got recommendations to buy an mp3 player instead. Still, I wish there were utilities that could hide mp3 content-type headers or perform some sort of port fowarding or ooh change proxy settings. Might be ‘educational’ to know:snooty:
Re: Gateway Timeouts
There are quite alot of programs available that allow port forwarding .... namely the infamous NETCAT ... DSNIFF (*nix) and others. There are quite alot of tools for Linux but just a few for Windows .. google for it mate ;)
