Gates of Heaven

In the Quran-e-Majeed, it mentions that their are 7 gates to Paradise but somehow I hear from others Masjids and scholars say their are 8 doors.

 How many Gates does Paradise have?

 If by any chance you would happen to know the names of the Paradise's please mention them as well.

 I know Janat-ul-Firdaus is the highest and best of Janat's and is right under Allah's Throne.

I believe the verse in the Qur'an that talks about 7 gates is actually referring to Hell, not Paradise. See Qur'an 15:44.

Through the Prophet's (s) hadith we learn that Paradise has 8 gates. There are hadith about this in Sahih al-Bukhari (4:479) and Sahih Muslim (#451).

All praise is to Allah Who gave Paradise more gates than Hell.
