I don’t understand why people line up infront of gas stations whenever the gas price goes down by a few cents. What kind of a mindset is this? How much are you saving in the long run? You are driving a 40K car and saving a few dollars…? wtf?
Now that we have Rita warnings, there are long queues again. Give me a break! you will be back at the gas station in a couple of days or will you not? So how much are you saving.
People who are guilty please stand up.

I'm guilty of going to fill up gas late at night when the price is down and there are absolutely no line ups. And that's not just once or twice....consistently.
But to save a few cents when prices are expected to rise and you know you're gonna be back there.....nope. Not me.

after standing up Bhaijaan, when you are on a tight budget like I am, even a few pennies count. That's like my lunch money, man!

I filled it up last night for $0.969. This morning the same place was selling for $2.37. Thats insane

Clearing throat and standing up I saved 37c/L (compared to downtown TO prices)this evening. Its like good $14 for my 55L gas tank. Have a long run over the weekend and I can't afford to waste 2 hours at gas station just to fill up.

Brother, its saving that I am taking about. I filled up for $55 (99c/L) as compare to $1.37 people faced in downtown TO yesterday. So a $14 saving is as good as anything in these days of uncertainity.

Fayz, we know you’re rich, man! But not all are lucky yourself. If I’m able to save 10-15 bucks in one go which seems quite reasonable given what they are estimating, that’s a bottle or two. Imagine if we were to sacrifice booze because of gas price jump! 
Embrace the reality Fayz! Some of are poor and can’t keep up with necessecities of life with all these price jumps.

I was at the lineups for 40 mins and got a full tank for $43. People were going crazy shouting and yelling at each other.

In our town the prices are steady, but will go up in maybe 3~4 days when they will actually try to buy the gas that is expensive. How can they hike the prices when the Hurricane hasn't even hit yet?

Petrol production facilities shut down before the hurricane hit because staff were evacuated.
