Garnier pure active intense charcoal scrub review

I know there have (in the past) been many threads on how to treat acne, tips etc so thought I would share a new product I’m using.

To start with, I have normal to dry very fair skin. Which of course means that when I do break out, any marks left over are extremely visible which is a pain! My acne isn’t bad, just a few spots around that time of the month- enough to bother me. I have spent countless amounts of money on every product out there trying to get my skin to reach perfection and, needless to say, it hasn’t happened yet! I have tried everything from high end brands to drugstore products. Finally, I think I have found a good cleanser- the garnier pure active intense charcoal scrub. I had a load of whiteheads under my skin (which even a deep cleanse facial didn’t remove). After just 3 days of using this scrub/cleanser (twice daily, morning and night), I am finding that the majority of these whiteheads have disappeared. I would definitely recommend this to any girls out there who have problem skin and have thus far been unable to find something to combat this- I really feel like this is working (even though it is just a drugstore product- don’t let this put you off).

I am also using “Mario badescu whitening face mask” a couple of times a week to help with the scarring- I reviewed this a couple of months back and this is also an excellent product.

Also …(and this might be a no brainer for most of you)…while I can understand wearing foundation when going out…do remove it once you are at home…doing so has made a ton of difference to my skin (it is less congested) even though I use mineral makeup.

As a spot treatment, I use tea tree oil medicated acne gel (the company is Thursday plantation- available in Australia, not sure whether this brand is readily available elsewhere but I presume any gel which has tea tree oil in it will help)…this is really good as a spot treatment as well.

Since I have dry-ish skin, I will also be purchasing the Natio acne clear and protect day and night moisturisers tomorrow…with this garnier scrub you really do need a moisturiser to go with it and I have read good reviews on the natio acne range (although not so great about the cleansers). Will keep you all posted on these products once I try them out as well

Hope this helps!
