Garmin has pushed out an update to its StreetPilot app for iOS, and the available traffic information just got a lot more detailed.
The free update includes live weather and forecasts, but if you shell out for an additional $9.99 in-app purchase you get access to 10,000 live traffic cameras. The traffic cam functionality works in both the U.S. and Canada and makes a nice addition to the live traffic already included in the app. And you can create a list of favorite cameras in your area to check known trouble spots before you leave.
If you haven’t downloaded the StreetPilot app yet, be advised that it’ll set you back $59.99.Garmin StreetPilot app updated with live traffic cams originally appeared on Autoblog on Sat, 26 Nov 2011 16:04:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.
