ok i know God loves the smell of a Rozadars mouth but what if ur a sales person at a retail place and ur assisting bunch of customers 30 minz before Aftari time .. u know ur breathe stink like SHYT .. and u daymn rite as soon you wud open ur mouth thoz customers are gona back out and you will be embarassed talking to them anywys .. there goes ur pride and confidence too .. in such situation .. can i gargle ? or would it still make my rooza makrooh ?

i think you can keep a truth brush at work place and do a quick brush before heading to the meeting... i think there is no harm in that ... but then again that just my opinion !

Guys, its ironic, just today I took a trip to the dentist and I found out that I would have to pay 6 more visits just because I didnt go regularly (twice a year) for professional cleaning in the last 2-3 years. Had I ignored this any further it could have deteriorated to Periodontis disease, sounds complicated but isnt, you might have perfect teeth and yet your gums might be weakening and this is very common and you eventually lose some or most of your teeth at a latter age.
Ramzan does not mean self torture at all, so dont stop brushing the teeth, ever, and that too twice a day. Brushing every day properly is actually the 'minimal' defence against gum disease. Dont let people fool you into saying that brushing your teeth will void your roza. Your health comes first. Periodontis disease is also a major cause of heart attacks!
Also sheeda, a friendly advice, if the breath stinks, usually its an early indication of gingivitus, so thats a good indication that one needs to visit the dentist, or say bye bye to his teeth, eventually.

gargle or brushing teeth (even with toot paste) is ok SO LONG AS YOU DONT' SWALLOW. So gargling will probably be done lightly.
Brushing should be done so that you don't swallow the rinse

There is nothing wrong with brushing your teeth in Ramadan, don't believe those Paki traditions where they say you will break your fast.. :)
Just as long you don't swallow the toothpaste or any particles from the brushing of teeth. It's sunnah to use a miswak even during fasting!

well go to your local arab / middle eastern type store where they sell qurans / siwaks...they are the ones from Saudi ..i think they are called "sewak" and look for the flavored ones...they are the small thin ones sealed in plastic...

Carry a small bottle of mouthwash in your purse. Guys, I think you might fit it in a coat pocket.
Gargle when you think the breath might be getting out of hand. I think its highly unprofessional, and maybe we see it as a beautiful thing to God, but when it gets in the way of work, I think God might be understanding if you do a swish-a-roo.
After all, part of your deen is also to do excel in your work. Something most people forget.

Keep one of those small dry toothbrushes with you and brush your TONGUE in addition to your teeth. Most people forget the main cause of bad breath, volatile sulphur compounds and plaque, mainly reside on the tongue, and failing to remove these will result in your breath to still 'stink like SHYT'.
Mouthwash should be used as a last resort as mechanical brushing should do the job.
