i need a good tried and tested recipe of garam aloo chana chaat.
if possible with exact quantities of masala & everything.

I made it on Tuesday, it was awesome. I made it with andaza, not measuring quantity of masala, boil Chana, keep aside, cut potato in cubes boil it keep aside. In a pot put boiled chaney then add salt, chat masala, crushed red pepper, green chillies finely chopped, imli water, then cook on slow flame, add 1/4 cup water too, add some sugar and crushed zeera too, then cook add boiled potatoes and add tomatoes then finally cook for ten minutes so tomatoes will mixed up add cilantro and enjoy with imli chutney and green chutney.

Yes u can do the same with canned Chana, I don't use canned potato always use fresh potato, it makes the difference in taste.
I don't use onion most of the time, some time I use it optionally , so it's up to u if u want to add onion u can use it.

Used canned chanay, didn't have canned potatoes anyway so used fresh potatoes.
It looks nice, hope it tastes good too. Will let u guys know after iftaari :)

I make this recipe with Brown channs but you can use white also
Channa: 200 grams
Onion: i small chopped
Tomato: i medium chopped
Chat Masala: 1.5 tsp
Lemon juice: 3 tbsp
Salt: to taste
Zeera bhunna and crushed: 2 tsp
Ketchup: 4tbsp
Green chillies: 2 hopped
Podina blended: 2tbsp
First of all transparent the onion and the add tomato, boiled chick peas and potatoes and just toss for 2 mins. Then add all spices except ketchup n podina and cook for 3 to 4 mins. Add ketchup and cook a bit more for 2 mins. Then at end put podina blended. This is one of most liked recipes from me. You can also use imlee if you want but in garam chaat lemon juice goes more well

Let me share the best recipe, I use and bBelieve me, you will Love it.
Take 1/2kg chana, pour it into the degchi along with its own water and now put it on the stove with medium flame. Now add kuti hui laal mirch, namak, haldi, chat masala, imli pani (1/4cup) and grinded sabut dhanya and zeera (bhuna hua). mota mota grind karna. Higher the flame now and mix it well and now let the water dry.. kuch kuch chanay chamchay se koot bhi lena..(saray nahin). on the other hand, chop haradhanya, hari mirchen, piyaz, and tomatoes (optional), also cut potatoes in cube and boil them, while boiling, pour some zarday ka rang so that it looks yellowish. also aik taraf yogurt phent ke rakhlo. now, when the chana is done and seem almost ready (taste it to adjust spices too) turn off the stove and add potatoes, mix them but bohat chamcha mat hilana. now take a dish in which you need to serve, pour chana, pour about 3 to 4 tablespoons thick yogurt (thandi karlena wo fridge main), now garnish it with dhanya hari mirch and piyaz and chaat masala chirking and serve and doayen dena :)
