Ok so what im gathering is gangs are essentially political organisations albeit violent ones...and that there are no gangs around simply to make moneywith no political leanings...is that an accurate assumption?...
And one question who controils the heroin trade in Pakistan?...is it political organisations or street gangs?...
its not street gangs but mostly mafia organizations who are under the protection of various religious, political, and ethnic groups...
they need the money to finance their operations and they need gundas and thugs to rough up their opponents so they make deal with mafia groups to be their liason. they finance their operations with drugs
similarly in the way it is show in the movie, Gangs of New York, when corrupt New York Politicians make an alliance with the Native Street Gang to rough up opponents, and maintain a hold on power
