I visited Taxila a few weeks ago and took some pictures of the remains there. Gandhara has remained one of the most important civilizations from around 3 century BC to 5 century AD. I will share the pictures in this thread.

The main centers of Gandhara Civilization used to be Taxila, Swat, Charsadda, Peshawar, Takht Bai and all the way into Afghanistan. Taxila has remained capital of the civilization.

compress in size? I think you can convert images into different formats using Mspaint

This picture clearly shows that four periods (see the difference in bricks) that the city has witnessed, it was destroyed and rebuilt many times during its tumultous history.

This picture is not clear, it shows the influences of Greek, Indian (Mauryan) and Indo greek civilizations (on both sides of the stairs).
You can see a clearer picture here, this stucture is called temple of the double headed eagle.

From Sirkap we have to climb up a small hill to reach the ‘palace of the king’. As per the guide, it was the palace of the son of Asoka.
