^ no he's not. the vocalist is ali alam. babar sheikh used 2 be with them long time ago. but he was never their vocalist. babar had 2 handle his other bands like mizraab, dusk, and northern alliance.

yea they're still functional. babar felt the need for relocating his everlasting roots of alternative metal when dusk's popularity solidified. so he formed northern alliance in back in 2001 after being inspired from the guerilla clads from afghanistan.
last performance i heard they did was at Lahore's National Rock Festival this january.
