Who here is still gaming as an adult (for our purposes here, let’s say beyond studies etc. and after starting career family etc). How have your gaming habits changed since the earlier days?
I still play now and then though much less than what I used to. Though now I’ll end up spending more time keeping up to date on the news relating to the games industry rather than to actually get playtime. With family commitments, I get much less time for gaming. That, combined with more time being required to make a session feel worthwhile. So I have completed very few games in the past 8 years or so and have a number of games that I’ve bought but never got around to playing them. Another thing that has changed over the years is that I’ve virtually stopped pre-ordering games and by the time I end up buying, I’m getting most of them at a bargain.
For the future I can see myself having game time overlap a bit more with family time as I’m sure my daughter will also game with me now and then ![]()
