can playing gambling games like roulette , who wants to be a millionaire, cards for money etc etc be considered haram or will it just be biddat or makrouh!!!
In the following verse and hadith it is mentioned that gamling is a great sin and is prohibited in Islam...
'' They ask thee concerning wine and gambling. Say: "In them is great sin, and some profit, for men; but the sin is greater than the profit." They ask thee how much they are to spend; Say: "What is beyond your needs." Thus doth Allah Make clear to you His Signs: In order that ye may consider.'' [2.219 Quran]
Volume 8, Book 78, Number 645:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, "Whoever swears saying in his oath. 'By Al-Lat and Al'Uzza,' should say, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah; and whoever says to his friend, 'Come, let me gamble with you,' should give something in charity." [Sahih Bukhari Hadith] ***

I don't see any money being spent. Its just the same as mine sweeper except you use probability. Its not gambling without money.
