Gallstones

I was diagnosed of gallstones during my pregnancy. Doctor advised it to remove it thru surgery . I m so scared
Is there any home remedy to remove them?? Any proven tips??

You posted a thread a few months ago about your friend who was also diagnosed with gallstones during her pregnancy. What did your friend end up doing? I’m sure you remember all the advice/experiences GS ladies shared with you at that time. :slight_smile:

Yes I remember my thread
And unluckily I also got diagnosed of gallstones
She had surgery after delivery , pain was unbearable for her
I want to know about any proven remedy for gallstones.

Are the gallstones giving you symptoms? If not, leave them alone. Gallstones are extremely common, and many people do require surgery if they start to give symptoms. Cholecystectomy is a very common surgical procedure, now done laproscopically and recovery time is usually on the order of days.

I'm not aware of any "proven" remedies that make gallstones disappear.

There are no remedies for gallstones. Dont eat anything greasy or fried. To get them removed laparascopically, it is literally a two hour procedure. I was in at 10 am and home by 4 pm. Recovery was like two days and then i was even back to light exercise.

Okay
My major concern is about after effects of removal of gallbladder. I have heard that pain remains there even after its removal?? Is it true??

BTW yeah I do have symptom I feel bit pain after eating fried food and sometimes without anything .

^The whole point of the surgery is to relieve pain. I don't think anyone can assure that you will no longer have pain, but generally speaking most people are relieved of their symptoms if surgery is done by a competent surgeon. There are rare cases after surgery, in which people may have retained stones in nearby ducts which could cause episodic pain. That would need further investigation.
