I need Gajar ka Halwa recipe with details! I’m just learning to cook and I have never done this before so I would be so happy if I would get really specific instructions!
And recipe which is good and “safe”. I want to make this on Friday, so I need quickly help. I have searched recipes but all are so different so I thought ask from you that what is good recipe?
Re: Gajar ka halwa
My recipe:
Gajjar: 1 kilo
Milk: 1.5 litre
Sugar: 1 cup or you can add more if you like more meetha
Ghee: 3/4 cup
Powder Milk: 1/4 cup
Cardamons: 3 to 4
Almonds: as required
Pistas: as required
Method:
First of all grate carrots and then in the milk boil them on low heat to the extent that the carrots get tendered and milk also be dried. If milk is not dried and carrots are tendered you can get milk dry on high heat. And if you feel that carrots are not tendered and milk is dried then you can put i cup more milk as it will not harm the recipe anyways. However milk should be dried prior to the next step.
After that add sugar in this mixture and let it dissolved and the water of sugar also be dried.
Then add ghee in the other pot and add cardamons and fry them untill they smell good, then add the tenderized carrots in this ghee and fry for 3 to 4 minutes until a little bit of colour of carrots is changed. AT this level if you feel sugar is less you can add but avoid doing so as it will increase frying time which may result in the burning of carrots.
Now add powder milk in it and keep on frying, until you will feel a nice smell, but just make sure that you will not burn the carrots. You can put the flame on low heat if you feel so but usually it gets ready from 7 to 10 minutes. So after done put it out in bowl and decorate it with the almonds and pistachio.
Hopefully it will turn out good. Enjoying cooking :)

So what for powder milk is there? Can I add something else instead of it? I don't think I get powder milk till tomorrow:(
Re: Gajar ka halwa
If you cant put Powder milk then boil carrots in 2 liter milk. Powder Milk just enhances the taste
